We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

NetherlandsIt is close to wilpattu NP ( around 7 km) and therefor main reason we booked it!. However in the morning, around 05.00, you have tea and wait for a long time at the location instead of going to the park already. This resulted in waiting in a row for the entrance of over an hour. Finally entering the park too late, after 0700. Price of accomodation combined with tour is relative expensive!
Location, safari tents and dinner!

United KingdomThe tents inside are warm, as their is no aircon (only fans).
We really liked this hotel. The complex is fantastic. The evening bonfire meal is an excellent touch.

United KingdomIt was very expensive, it’s an experience to glamp but not sure it’s worth the price during peak season.
It’s was very nice and different. The safari was seamless and good a good guide who spoke good English. We saw elephants in the distance, crocs, water buffalo’s, mongoose, hares. We didn’t see leopards or sloths.

NetherlandsI told them I'm lactose intolerant. At dinner this was taken care of, they asked me with every meal if it was okay. But with the breakfast it was forgotten I think..
The tents are spacious and quite luxurious. You could even have a hot shower, which I was surprised by. The staff is wonderful and so helpful. The location is perfect, quiet and in nature. For the safari, we had a wonderful time. Great guide and driver. We left on time as well.

AustraliaAccom - We stayed in April and unfortunately it was too hot for us to really enjoy the camp. F&B - food and drinks were very tasty but was more basic than I was expecting for the price. Safari - jeep was in good condition, driver and naturalist did a great job but it was a bit too long and we did not see a leopard, sloth bear or elephant.
The staff gave great service, very friendly and thorough instructions on the camp. Tent was nicely decorated. Dining tent is next to a lake, a lovely setting. Wilpattu National Park is a beautiful landscape of jungle and lakes.

United KingdomThe room unfortunately had a bad odour and there was music playing until 1am with a heavy base which considering we were up at 5 am for the safari left us very very tired.
The tents were wonderful and private. Dinner was lovely and catered for me as a vegetarian. The tour guide was incredible and so so knowledgable.

ItalyThe sofas were dirty and unusable. Please adda safari furniture with empty space underneath, otherwise the animals get under the couch, we had two lizards chilling there. There are not many spaces to hang out, and only one chair outside the tent. The food for the price was regular, not sure why they think tourists love ketchup, all meals had ketchup. Please note that ketchup is only for fast food meals, not nice dinners.
Very nice experience and Safari. Loved the night walk. The guide was very knowledgeable! The ambiance at night with the fires was very cool.

The glamping and safari were well organised and the staff were very helpful. We had an interesting local nature walk with Indunil in the afternoon. We even saw a crocodile. A great experience.

United KingdomWe stayed for one night with an inclusive half day safari. All was very well organised and easy which is what we wanted. There is a great team of guides and drivers. Food was plentiful, less local than we generally like but that is pure preference. Beer was cold and welcome. Tents were superb and felt very secured from any intruders’

NetherlandsThe beds are a little uncomfortable, but then again that is something you know can happen when going to places in the nature
The location is beautiful, the staff was lovely and the food was delicious. They have a lot of naturalist that can tell you all about the wildlife and go on the safari with you.

Sri LankaTheir first day Safari wasn't managed well by the team, due to unavailability of Safari vehicles, though we had booked the activity in advance. It was an unexpected start, however they managed to do a full day Safari the day after, but it was tiring. The glamping tent had an issue with a zipper which was broken and felt uncomfortable during the whole stay. The staff tried their best to rectify it . This isn't a complaint, but passing such information is necessary to draw attention of the Management. Thank you.
Booked for our Australian clients. Accommodation was good & Meals were great. Staff was helpful with few special requests we had during the two nights' stay, and liked the Village walk.

SwitzerlandIt was extraordinary to stay in a tent in the wild. We really enjoyed the included guided night walking tour and the guided safari! The air in the tent and the furniture (bedsheets, towels etc.) was very humid and therefore not really comfortable to stay inside. But there was even hot water for the shower. We were really lucky with our guide for the tours and could see many different animals.

SingaporeToilet was small and does not have a door which made showering abit cumbersome. This shouldn’t be an issue since it is glamping but just a note for travellers looking to book.
First time glamping, tent was super spacious and we enjoyed the meals. Loved the bon fire event at night before dinner. For the price point, this was amazing! Staff were also very kind and welcoming, highly recommend!

FranceThe cleanliness could be improved, a good vacuum clean is needed in the living area. The food could also be improved, it was a bit plain.
It is as stated a glamping experience in a tent and it’s very well done, it isn’t luxurious but it is comfortable, we had no issue with bugs and really enjoyed the experience. The vibe of the camp is great, the bonfire, night walk etc. Don’t go with the expectations of an African camp experience and you’ll enjoy it a lot :) the safari was also great and we got to see a leopard!!

NetherlandsIt’s really hot in this area in July / August. During the night it was hot too.
It’s a beautiful place, comfortable tent and friendly people. The diner and fire place was a great experience in the middle of the nature. Tip: in this park (Wilpattu) it’s better to do the safari in the morning instead of the afternoon.
