It was a bit tricky to find down a medium length side road. Would be a decent and steepish walk to the main road (which I didn’t need to do.)

The staff were exceptional and we felt very welcomed after a long taxi ride to get there late in the evening. The rooms are very small and basic but good enough, with a delightful “jungle” setting - banana trees etc. Someone saw a monkey. We only stayed one night to catch the amazing train to Kandy/Colombo next day (the “Ella Odyssey” - a long day but a fabulous journey.) Very nice breakfast. Bed a bit on the firm side for me but clean and comfortable, with mosquito nets. Access to the station was super easy (but not for the faint-hearted or with mobility challenges), basically you walk down the railway track! At an approved time I might add. The place is very close to the railway which may not be to everyone’s taste. I loved it. The line seems not very busy but there was a 4AM train. A memorable stay.

The bathroom is very functional but as per the standards within the area but for one night it was just what we needed and the price was super good!

We stayed just one night to take the train to Nuwara Eliya the following morning and this place was just what we needed. Really good value for money and great views from the balcony straight into the jungle. Super comfy bed and nice staff who accommodated our request for an early breakfast which was delicious with local options.

Overall, a great stay, and we’d recommend it!

The room was nice, and the hosts were helpful. The design of the place is lovely, and the location is convenient, with a quick shortcut to the city center—no tuk-tuk needed in our opinion. WiFi was okay, and breakfast was decent—nothing special but enjoyable, especially after a sunrise hike. A great touch was that they prepared a breakfast package for our early train departure. Speaking of the train, it's quite close, so it can be loud at times, but we didn’t mind.

Unfortunately, it was quite noisy due to the bar above, with music playing from 8 AM until nearly midnight. Additionally, the balcony was very central, meaning people frequently passed by, and guests from the other room had to walk through it as well.

The location was great—right in the city center yet surrounded by nature. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, and the breakfast was delicious and satisfying.

Easy to get to from Ella train station. 5 minute walk back along the train tracks. Beautiful setting and close to the Clay Pot restaurant which we would highly recommend trying. Staff were accommodating and breakfasts were delicious.

Close to the town when you walk along the railway tracks. Sidath was very helpful and came to meet us when we got off the train. It is nice and remote. Overall, the room was clean, the bed was comfy and hot showers were available.

Rooms and facilities are basic ( but they are clean and fair value for the cost).

Beautiful location with view nearby across to waterfall. Sidath, who manages the property, super friendly and knowledgeable. Short walk (about 5 minutes) along the railway line to station and town. Good access to my favourite restaurant- Matey Hut. Jungle view from balcony. Sidath has a knowledge friend Siri who will give a fair price for Tuk Tuk transfers.

The location is perfect. Quiet, yet steps into town, with lovely jungle views, and endless hours of entertaining monkey watching. Walkable to Ella Rock, Little Adam's Peak and the Nine Arch Bridge. Comfortable room, with plenty of space, with a large balcony, (I had room 101, the best for size I think). Very hot water. And the best part was Sidath, so helpful, & so friendly, came down to meet me in the pouring rain and welcomed me with a pot of tea and biscuits. Such a warm person and wanting the best for his guests.

We have had a very nice and pleasant stay! Both guys are very nice, helpful, and hospitable. The location is very good, with a shortcut you are in the Main Street within 5 minutes. The jungle is very nice and interesting to view from your balcony. Through the trees you could see a glimpse of Ella rock! The beds are good, including mosquito net, the shower is mostly warm. (We had a semi-warm shower the first day later at night but it was fixed the next day).

The room are almost in the forest, very quiet place... And is possible arrive in the centro in 2 minutes on foot. The owner , Sidath is a very kind person and will be able to help you to every problem. Very good breakfast!!
