    1. Location close to the centre and close to the beach

    1. In the room it’s impossible to charge the phone or anything else, because the plugs are not compatible with the world wide adapter. There is only one working plug in the kitchen outside the room. 2. Our room was full of mosquitos and without mosquitoes net. 3. It is impossible to adjust the fan’s speed which was too strong, noisy and annoying. We couldn’t sleep. 4. During the night we wrote a message to the owner explaining the issue, but he answered the day after in the evening saying sorry. 5. It was very difficult to communicate whit the owner. 6. For these reasons we left the room the day after, even if we had paid for 2 nights.

The hostel is on one of the main streets, but the rooms are quiet. There is access to a fridge, stove and sink. There is a large table with chairs in the living room. Great internet - which is not common in Sir Lanka. Location close to the beach. The host is open and communicative - he is happy to talk about local customs, people, culture...

There are no mosquito nets (neither on the windows nor over the beds), which is a bit inconvenient. It could be a bit cleaner (in the room, e.g. the sink and in the kitchen). However, the biggest problem turned out to be bedbugs, which bit us severely for two nights (it was not a one-time incident). But we reported it to the host and showed him - he seemed concerned about this fact - we believe that he will take care of eliminating this problem. With great sympathy for this place and the host

When we arrived, we asked about hot water, and the owner explained that due to the local weather and piping, it wasn’t originally provided nor advertised online. However, the same day, he went out, bought, and installed a boiler and the shower we preferred, which exceeded all our expectations!!! The host, Babu, is extremely kind and prepares a solid breakfast to your liking. He also offered us free transport multiple times. They have two friendly dogs and a cat, adding to the charm. The accommodation is simple, like a hostel, but definitely a good option for staying especially for adventurous couples and backpackers. BTW local beach is totally close to the accommodation.

The rooms and toilets are small and very basic, and some extra cleaning would be a plus.

    Property response:

    Thanks for the review.

We booked 3 bedrooms from booking.com. But after we arrived to the hotel they said that they didnt see our reservation from booking.com. We faced so many difficulties to find a place to stay for night and cannot accept their irresponsible and careless works.

    The rooms were clean

In the rooms were a lot of ants. The host was a bit intrusive. Always knocked on the doors, also late at night. And the hosts watched tv so loud until midnight, that we couldn‘t sleep well.

Really honest and responsible owner! If you have any issues he will help you to solve any kind of problem. In addition, the owner has his comrade Baboo, which is also kind and funny, so if you are sad don't hesitate to talk to him!)) The location is pretty average. Popular Uppuveli beach located 1,5-2 km from hotel, Central Bus station Trincomalee (3 km), Railway station Trincomalee (2km). However if you wanna hang out on the beach and just take a rest, no problem, there's a beach 200 meters from hotel, so you can enjoy it;)

Well, there are some little issues for me connected during the stay in this hotel such as: 1) Light breakfast. So it includes toast bread with butter and jam, watermelon, a piece of omelette and black tea. I like to eat a lot, so for me it was a little struggling to get full. 2) Hard mattresses. It was a little struggling to get asleep due to this thing That's it

Close to the beach, free WiFi.

We reserved 2 rooms, got 1 for families. In the second room there was no air con. We didnt get towels, sheets. It is advertised "deluxe" room, but they are basic.

Owner was really nice and caring. He organized scooter rental for me and even dropped me to the bus station when I was leaving. There was the kitchen you can use and beach is just 200m away.

Room was very basic but ac working good and fan also. Double bed was two single beds put together. It didn't bother me though. Socket was really high on the wall, with long cable it is ok, with the short one ask for extention. For the standard provided it was expensive. For the same price you can get bungalows with green garden in Uppveli.

Location was good, very close to the beach and around 8 min to the bus station by tuktuk.

There was no feeling of privacy, because the owner or administrator the hotel were knocking at the door too often and persistent. The bathroom door had no lock, just a hole in it and was not closing. We got some dirty towels with big old stains.
