The house is well located outside of the busy and noisy city centre and is very close to the main road, from which it is easy to take tuk tuks of walk to the town. The room was very clean and comfortable. The staff is very kind and helpful.

I upgraded the room and took the moon villa for new year. And it was one of the best rooms I ever stayed, only over the vibes and atmosphere. Really amazing and beautiful. The Family was so fantastic, helpful and hospitable. Lots of love and success for them in the future. If in Ella, i check in that room again.

We really enjoyed our stay, the new room is nicely made and well equipped. Breakfast on the balcony was always a nice start into the day. The host family is also very nice and accommodating. They also offer a Tuk Tuk service (convenience pricing) which was super nice to get around quickly, especially since the location is a bit more remote - thank you for driving us Vaneesha!

Most things were good - though it would have been nice to have a warmer light or bedside lamp in the bedroom, as there was only one extremely bright ceiling light. There was also construction work when I visited (Jan 2025) so there was quite loud drilling and occasional power cuts. The location is lovely, but bear in mind that it is a 15 minute tuktuk ride away from the centre of Ella, meaning that food choices in the area are quite limited and it's a fairly long uphill walk if you're on foot from Ella.

The family that runs this guesthouse is incredibly friendly and helpful, often arranging tuktuk journeys to and from the town. The view from the roof terrace is worth the stay itself - you'll be greeted by amazing views of the surrounding mountains. It's also calm and peaceful - away from the main part of Ella.

To the city is a 20/30 minute walk, but the views are worth it

So everything was very good, the host and his family are entirely helpful and polite. He show you around and pick you up from the train station for a small fee. The breakfasts were also good. I’ll remember this trip very fondly.

The rooms were quite humid. The shower water pressure was very low, sometimes it was hard to rinse off. The water heating also did not always work well and sometimes the water was lukewarm. What we really didn't like was the situation at the end where our hostess got very angry that we chose another driver, not his son (who verbally attacked our driver when he picked us up). The fact that we have decided to stay in this place does not mean we have to use all the other services, especially since we used their daily trip offer and the laundry service anyway. We have been using this taxi agency since the beginning of our stay in Sri Lanka, besides I think the hostess should be less domineering and understand that her guests have the right to choose the services they want to use

The place was not in the direct center so it was nice and quiet, but still well-communicated with the city (20 minutes down, and tuk-tuk up). The view was very nice, we liked the terrace where you could chill and rest, there were some hommocks and other places to sit. The hosts were helpful and could organize the laundry for or a day trip. The rooms and the whole place were clean. We were welcomed by the host with the tea which was very nice after a long day of trip.

We really felt comfortable in this homestay. The room was good, the family was very nice, the breakfast was good with Pancake, fruit, fried egg Toast and jam. We had a huge Veranda where we could sit and stay.

The location is a bit annoying. But after a while we got used to it and it was relatively okay. The hostel is located on the mountain top, about a 40 minute walk from the city either downhill or uphill.

We stayed 3 nights at Nice view Homestay. I can recommend the stay to everyone. The hostess and her son are super sweet people, are always ready to help you. They offer various services such as laundry and guided tours. We spent 2 days with the son and his TukTuk and visited all the beautiful places of Ella. He knew a lot to tell and is open to all requests. The hostess herself also cooks delicious meals for you on request and a rich breakfast is possible. The stay itself is not in the busy center of Ella, but on a hill that provides all the peace and a beautiful view 5 minutes by Tuktuk from Ella center.

From the moment we arrived the owners gave us a warm welcome. The room was clean and the view was amazing. They helped us with everything from minute 1, where to eat, booking Tuk Tuk for us. Unfortunately I got sick one day, they were very concerned about me, and the owner even accompanied me to the doctor. I can't thank you enough. I recommend the place without thinking about it.

Would have loved some shampoo and shower gel.

Lovely family that couldn’t do enough for you. Even a tuk tuk at 6 in the morning. Cookery class with Ishare was superb. Well worth the visit into the hills. And wow oh wow the views are amazing. Even organised a trip to a tea factory and nine arch bridge which was amazing.

Very hospitable and helpful family. Although the location was not close to the Ella centre, the hosts were able to provide transport if needed at reasonable rates. As the name suggests, the views were stunning.

Super clean and comfortable rooms with beautiful views. It was a really relaxing stay! Dinner was also superb. Ishari and her family were so warming and very friendly hosts, as well as their dog Bruno. The place is further from Ella centre but only a short Tuktuk ride away, and the views over the hills was worth the extra travel! It’s also possible to rent scooters, however they aren’t always available. I would definitely come back here next time I’m in Ella!

Very nice and helpfull family, perfect english spoken. The view from the balcony is wonderfull. Nice big breakfast and great diner. Made a highlights daytrip with the son in own minivan.
