Laundry was kind of pricy compared to what we had in Negombo but it came out clean and dry 👍 Only one socket in the room. Wasn't really an issue for us but someone with more devices might need an extension (they might provide it not sure).

Ishari and her whole family are all very friendly and welcoming. Their dog Bruno is so cute!! Gorgeous location in the mountains, we chose the deluxe room, it had an egg chair in front which was nice. There was also a hammock in front of the other room. We felt really at home. Ishari was very helpful in assisting us in everything we needed. She also organized her son to drive us to the next city and it was very reasonably priced 👍👍

Nothing. Would definitely recommend to any families looking to stay in Ella.

The whole family were so kind, including Bruno the dog. My daughter was unwell whilst we were staying and changing the bedding and providing a sri lankan (like magic!) medicine was no problem. Had some lovely dinners and breakfast during our stay and Vaneesha took us on a tour of local attractions and then onto our next accommodation in Yala. Would love to come back in a few years to be able to experience the cooking class, the zip wire (when girls are heavy enough!) and more of Ella.

Not a criticism as I didn’t request any, rather a suggestion - but additional pillows on the bed would have made the bed much cosier! But it wasn’t a problem

The family were lovely and tended to every one of our needs! I really enjoyed reading my book on the swinging egg chair on the mornings, such a great addition to the balcony!

Generally in the region humudity is very high and there is a closeness in the room. There is a fan to help you get rid of it.

Stay in Nice View was very nice. We could rent a scooter from the owner which was helpful as place is located outside of the city. Apartment was small but comfortable.

Spacious and clean room, nice terrace with beautiful views. Its perfect place to relax in the fresh air of Ella. Its a bit uphill from Ella city, but easy to go around with tuk tuk. The owner family is very friendly and welcoming, you can feel like at home here. They offer tuk tuk rides, laundry, breakfast and I also had dinner here most of the evenings. Food is amazing, real Sri Lankan homefood.

However, I did notice that the walls of my room seemed to lack noise insulation, making it easy to hear everything happening next door. Additionally, the common tables downstairs weren't very comfortable, and I felt that adding proper chairs and tables would greatly enhance the communal area.

I had a fantastic stay at the Nice View Homestay. The family running the guesthouse was incredibly welcoming and friendly. I enjoyed their homemade dinners and breakfasts, as well as playing with their dalmatian. Being away from the city, it was relatively quiet, which suited me perfectly as I traveled with a motorcycle.

And the family dog Bruno ❤️ We got with they sun to tea factory by tuk tuk, was great experience, we took there a guided tour. If you need to get from Ella back they can offer also transportation for reasonable price.

It is a far trek to town and PickMe was hard to arrange (45 min wait at all times). But I knew that it wasn’t near town from previous reviews.

Our stay at the "Nice View Homestay" was nothing short of amazing. My wife and I initially booked a three-night stay, but we were so enchanted by our experience that we decided to extend our visit to five nights. The host's culinary talents graced our dinners with mouthwatering flavors, and the substantial breakfasts provided the ideal start to our days. What made these dinners even more special was the fact that they were entirely vegetarian and featured local flavors, with some ingredients sourced directly from the host's garden. Each meal was a delightful exploration of Sri Lankan cuisine and a testament to the host's commitment to providing a memorable experience. Nestled in the serene hills, the location lived up to its name, offering breathtaking views that left us in awe. The option to rent scooters added an element of adventure to our exploration of the picturesque surroundings. We were also pleasantly surprised by the exceptional value this homestay offered, making our extended stay not only enjoyable but also budget-friendly.

Staying in Nice View Homestay was truly a good decision. Even tho you're a bit far away from the city center, you're surrounded by amazing green nature. Terrace is so spacious and comfortable to stay on that you won't need more :) Ishari and her husband are kind people who are willing to help. Their amazing dog Bruno is only the cherry on top!

We loved our 3 nights at Nice View Homestay. Our hosts were so warm and kind and helpful. Whilst we were staying, another guest got sick and our host went out of her way to take her to a doctor and help her get some medication. We thought that was so awesome! We did a cooking course with our host which was fantastic - one of the highlights of our trip to Sri Lanka, because now we have some new recipes and skills we can use back at home. The location was great - we were able to take peaceful walks from the back door of our homestay, which we loved. We took a local bus down into Ella, or could walk down a steep lane to get on the path to walk to Ella Rock.
