Hansa and Sa are perfect hosts and the food they cook is simply amazing! They are kind and helpful. Their place is unique, in the middle of the nature and in front of the sea. Perfect place to visit the famous Yala National Park.

A little too remote and the beach wasn’t really usable as it was so rough

Lovely surroundings but very remote. We were unable to reach any cafes or restaurants but the owners did cook us lovely meals.

Spectacular beach side location on the edge of Yala National Park. Compact and comfortable rooms set within a beautiful garden frequented by all manner of birds and animals. The rugged coast is a short walk away. At night, all is peaceful and the sky was clear with an amazing display of the milky way. Hansa and his wife, the hosts, were very helpful in organising a morning safari and the food was all delicious. Beautiful, relaxing stay.

It's was totally okay. But if you book the 8 m2 room your private , big bathroom is across your room. Do you have to go outside and crossover to the bathroom. A bit of excitement knowing as the owner told he has had elephants, bears and jaguar in his garden. 😬

The location is amazing. Your at the beach and also very close to the entrance of the Yala NP. The owner is very kind and his wife cooks amazing food. She is from Laos. So the food is a mixture of Indian curry's and here twist. We booked the Safari with him. Do private Jeep. Very on time. We were number 8 in the line to get in. And... we saw 2 jaguars, a black bear, elephants etc etc

Amazing place, right by the beach, & a short drive to the entrance of Yala NP. Our hosts organised a fantastic safari for us - many elephants, & a sleeping leopard. The home cooked food was delicious. Many birds to watch from the day beds or chairs on the porch. Thoroughly recommend.

This house is a unique place at a beatiful, empty beach, simply breathtaking! The owner is really kind, they make us feel home, they prepared delicious dinner with special request for the kids, and the breakfast was also fantastic after our safari in the very early morning. We could even have a coffee at 5 am before the safari. Yala entrance was about 2p min drive from there. As the house is in the middle of the nature, you can expect it to be quite minimalistic, hear the animals. Bed was comfy. The shower / bathroom opens to the open air, but has a mosquito net. It would be maybe great to have a mosquito net on the windows too, so we could get some fresh / hot (?) air in. The rooms have good working AC. It was a good place for our short stay, the beach is just sooo beautiful there, not for swimming though. You can hear the waves from the house. Thank you for the owner couple for sharing this experience with is.

I couldn’t recommend staying here more. Hanza, his wife and Lucky were so welcoming and the food they prepared was excellent. Perfect location for safari. We were the only people staying when we arrived, and having the beautiful beach to ourselves was a dream. Thank you so much!

One thing I take one star because is that we were informed that dinner is 12 usd per person, and breakfast 8. That was fine,even though its expensive for Sri Lanka, the food was good. However when it came to pay, we were also charged 10 percent on top of the food. This is not the best way to run business people. It will always leave a bitter taste not to be informed about it beforehand. And that’s when you are forced to use their services as there are no other options around. I felt uncomfortable.

We booked two rooms for two nights. It was one person per room and that was comfortable however two would be too much. The rooms are tiny but comfortable. The locations is absolutely amazing. It is close to the park gate as well. The owner and the other guy working there are super nice and attentive.

An amazing and unique place to stay when visiting Yala National Park. A beautiful lodge with sea views and a very comfortable room. Hansa and his family are amazing, friendly, and helpful hosts. Hansa organised a safari for us and also a tuktuk for when we were leaving to the bus station. Had amazing tips and knowledge of the local area, national park, and the wildlife in Sri Lanka. Homemade food was amazing and it was nice to sit and meet other guests while eating :) Thank you!

Picked this resort for it's proximity to the beach and the safari park. There are three suites, two with attached ensuites and one requiring a short walk to the bathroom/shower. It's a very quiet location located right on the beach - great for swimming and walking. Resort provides your choice of breakfast/lunch/dinner for a small extra charge. There are no other restaurants nearby so we ate at the resort. Food was plentiful and delicious! Owner and his family were very attentive and gracious hosts.

Great location- very close to the entrance to Yala, this property is on the beach - 2 amazing beaches where you can swim in the sea and we saw no one else. A highlight of our trip to Sri Lanka!

Beautiful setting bordering Yala Park. Hosts are welcoming & food is good. They will organise everything for you at a reasonable price such as meals & safari. Location is remote, but beautiful. Only 2 rooms, so the peace & tranquility are wonderful

Beautiful, quiet place away from other accommodations. You can walk from the garden to the ocean, which is clean and the view is amazing. The lovely owner and his family prepared a perfect dinner for us. One of the best accommodations we have ever stayed at!

The beautiful garden full of bird life, the lovely view and sound of the ocean from the verandah, the delicious food, excellent service and caring hospitality by Hansa, Sa and their team. It is ideally located as a safari lodge for both Yala and Bundala national parks.

Nothing, but think the Yala safaris are over exploiting the park and are trespassing on the animals habitat. But this has nothing to do with the resort.

As close to nature/paradise as possible. Having the whole place to ourselves made all arrangements flexible, eating excellent meals whenever we felt it suited our stomach. The beach was close and nice. The host and staff were very accommodating and nice, giving the information needed.

We had it all to ourselves, and it felt like a step back to our childhood, with clean, cozy rooms and a sense of peace we hadn’t felt in years. Hospitality: Mr. Hansa and his wife, Sa, made us feel like family. His wisdom and kindness left a lasting impression. Don’t miss out on his stories and knowledge—he’s a true treasure. Food: The meals were unforgettable. The owner’s cooking is simply divine—each bite felt like a love letter to the senses. We’re deeply moved by our time in Sri Lanka, and Nil Sisila will always have a special place in our hearts. P.S. An elephant visited our house! We were in awe, along with the bulls, peacocks, and countless birds. It’s like staying in a little National Park.

Its far away from things, which didn't bother me at all, but just be aware of it.

I loved my breakfast and diner which they made specially for me. It was way too much for me! The surroundings were beautiful, the sea is close and the garden is a joy with peacocks that come in the late afternoon and even elephants in the middle of the night (I just heard them). A lovely place to go and chill and relax

Everything amazing

Amazing place lost from everywhere. It’s so peaceful, nice beach 1 beside, and they cook the food, super yummy. The family is super kind, and offered me to sleep at the terrace cause elephants come to eat during the night and I saw one!
