The location is a bit off and you have to walk along the beach to reach the city centre - this was a bit of an inconvenience but it‘s not far (5mins). Unfortunately we had a bit of a moldy smell and ants in the room. When we told the owner, he offered a different room bit since we stayed only one night it was alright.

The staff was very nice, helpful and we could even do late checkout without additional charge. The room and the bathroom were spacious and the mosquito net was perfect. The AC and the fan worked properly. Everything was clean and the bar (even tho not many choices because of off-season) was good.

Waking up to the sight of the ocean and stepping out of the accommodation to surf the point. Staff were excellent and helped with transportation. Perfect spot for a relaxed evening beer watching the surf lessons.

The way from the road is sandy and you have to carry all your staff for a while but the rooms are okay. It’s very basic but clean and nice. Prepare for cold showers.

Very nice staff, got drinks when moving in. The staff helped us with our bags, there was no smell and the area is nice. No mold which is good as well. Bathroom was open but we liked it.

Few bugs in room but to be expected in high season . Everything else was perfect! Ps Every Saturday the bar next door has a party until 5am but it is only one nigaht so don't be deterred if this happens. Join the party if you can't sleep haha

The location is 10/10. We stayed for 5 nights. Every morning waking up a few steps away from the properties direct beach access. Coffee on the bar bench was amazing. The owner and his girlfriend were amazing ! Both so lovely and down to earth. Gave great tips and no problem was too big or small to fix. We loved staying here!!! Only a 5 minute walk in to town via beach or 10 mins from back road. Suggest hiring a scooter, Ocean Vibe organised this for us at a great price. Perfect spot if you want to surf, right next to the main surf spot. Bonus: The owners English is perfect, which helped in organising everything. Pro tip : best local food was at Aalyia. Very new and small restraunt at the start of the main street.

Our room was a bit dark and had a slight smell. Unfortunately it didn’t fully match the photos (e.g. no outdoor shower as shown in some pictures). It would be helpful if the different room types were more clearly presented when booking. One thing to note, like some others already mentioned: on Saturday nights there’s a party at the nearby beach club, so it can get quite loud. The rest of the stay was quiet.

Great location just a short walk from the beach. The staff were very friendly and helpful – they quickly arranged a driver for us, which we really appreciated. Breakfast was good, especially the pancakes! Bonus points for the mosquito net and TV in the room.

We were lucky enough to spend a week at Ocean Vibes, staying in two bungalows. Even before our arrival, Dulaj and his team arranged a taxi to pick us up from Ahangama and personally made sure everything went smoothly. Upon arrival, the hotel staff kindly took our luggage from the taxi and brought it to the bungalows (the hotel is about 50 meters from the road, along a sandy path). We were warmly welcomed with delicious banana milkshakes. The rooms are excellent: very clean, spacious, and comfortable, with large beds and mosquito nets. A TV screen with access to streaming platforms is available via the reliable Wi-Fi. Bathrooms vary slightly between bungalows — some have an outdoor shower (with walls for privacy but no roof), which lets you enjoy the warm weather or even the stars at night. Breakfast is delicious and changes daily, but you can always count on coffee or tea and fresh fruit. Depending on the day, you might get brioche bread, eggs, pancakes… It’s served from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The staff is lovely, very attentive, and happy to recommend good local spots for food and activities! The location is fantastic — right on Arugam Bay beach. A short 100-meter walk on the sand takes you straight to Main Point, the main surf spot. The hotel rents out a few surfboards for 1,000 LKR/day, and more are available on the nearby main street. You can reach the main street easily either via the beach or through an inland path. The hotel can also arrange tuk-tuks for longer excursions (safaris, surf trips, nearby towns…). A huge thank you to Dulaj and the whole Ocean Vibes team for such a warm and memorable stay!

We had a really nice stay at ocean vibe! The view at the sea view room is amazing and the room + bathroom was really clean. The accommodation looks just like the pictures. The people were really friendly and helped us with everything we needed. We definitely recommend!

The location of the accommodation was exceptionally beautiful, offering direct access to the beach. The host was incredibly kind in arranging a night bus to Galle for us. During the off-season, the price-to-value ratio was truly outstanding. We appreciated the stunning surroundings, the host's helpfulness, and the affordability of our stay. Overall, it was a delightful experience that exceeded our expectations.
