The room needed some refurbishing as there were nails still stuck in the wall and some furniture was starting to look and feel tired. No air conditioning, when it was hot, you obviously felt it.

The view of the waterfall and surrounding hills made the property worthwhile. Breakfast was good, especially the variety of fresh fruit. The property was clean and the shower water was hot.

Not a negative , just be aware , this accommodation is b&b, anything extra you need, make sure you buy from the shops in Ella town, as their isn’t anything available here you may need. Our fan which was the air con was on a stand that didn’t fit , the fan fell and broke and there was not a second one we could have. But I’m sure they have a new fan now!

Stayed here beginning of April. The view from the balcony is absolutely beautiful and why we booked to stay here! The room and shower are lovely and the bed is comfortable. The hosts were always available via Watsapp and provide a tuk tuk service in and out of town, and were available straight away when asked. Very convenient. Also took us to the train station very early on day of departure. Breakfast is served in the balcony with view.

This place is still a work in progress and there is some building going on, although the room itself is very good, with complete privacy, and once you are settled in, it doesn't really matter. Just don't expect to be in a complete 'hotel'. The location is perfect if you want peace and nature, but the other side of that is that you rely on the tuk tuk to get up and down. As long as you can access WhatsApp the owners are very responsive. Overall this may not suit everyone, but for many people it will be perfect!

The location is great for atmosphere, views and peace. The accommodation itself is very comfortable, large and clean. Facilities and breakfast are very good. It has been built by two brothers, and it's nice to be able to support them develop their place, as it cannot be easy to build in that location and with all the competition. So if you want to support local enterprise, this is a good choice. It feels like an escape from the extremely touristy centre of Ella.

The location is a bit remote and you are dependent on Tuktuk for the navigation. Need to be very careful with monkeys, they can open the windows slide and enter the room. Birds are waiting for your breakfast. :)

The view from the window was stunning. The host was very friendly, responsive. He managed all our inquiries and tuktuk requests.

The reception is still in construction and should be done soon - there was some noise due to this (but Roshan stopped it when we asked him to!). The bathroom is very clean but some of the fittings are a bit older.

The location of this property is phenomenal - the views are amazing from the room (we were rained in the first day and the view made it such a lovely relaxed day) and the town is 10 mins away by walk if you follow the train tracks. The breakfast was lovely, and Roshan was very kind in organising the tuk tuk for us every time we needed it. Ella rock is close by enough for a walk to the trailhead! The bed and space in the room was the best we have had in Sri Lanka!

It’s worth noting the property is still undergoing construction so there’s no “entrance” and our view was obstructed by the house in front undergoing construction too, which takes away some of the charm. It’ll be brilliant once it’s finished! The road is only reachable by tuk tuk, (we preferred walking the last bit as it was too steep) not a negative per se, but something which should be considered before booking. To the host - please provide tea/coffee and mugs in the rooms. As breakfast is from 8am, early risers like to have a coffee beforehand. The nets above the bed should be washed more too. 😀

Large spacious rooms with great views, a delicious breakfast and comfortable beds. The property is a 10/15 walk to Ella (find the railway and walk along!). It’s also en route for Ella Rock if you turn right instead, so we trimmed off about 30/45 mins of the hike. The host will arrange tuk tuk for you too.

The location is distant from the main city. About 15 mins away. Therefore, walking at night to the hotel can be very scary considering no lights and stray dogs. Only Tuk Tuk is a good option to come and go at any time of the day. If there is any inconvenience like road block to the hotel, then coming in and going can be very exhausting considering the steep slopes to the hotel. Room facilities are there but can be improved in quality.

The morning views were great. Waking up to the sound of nature and amazing views was very refreshing. The breakfast included delicious fruits. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. They even gave us a discount on our inconvenience when coming to the hotel.

It felt like we were staying in a building site (ongoing work to create a reception and dining space).Not really their fault, but would have been good to know this in advance. No hot water on our first morning, but plenty the following day. Water dispenser and kettle were provided, but no cups or glasses, despite repeated requests for them to supply.

Good sized room with amazing views from the balcony. Comfortable bed, good WiFi, friendly staff and a decent breakfast. Tuk tuk on site to ferry us into town (and back if requested).

We were unfortunately on the lower level and therefore didn’t get quite the views we were hoping for due to the trees, this obviously isn’t the fault of the accommodation. It’s slightly out of the centre of Ella which we didn’t mind as we had a tuktuk so could pop down pretty easily.

We really loved the rooms, they were big and spacious. The bed was comfortable and bathroom was clean! Shower was great and really hot. The breakfast in the morning is super tasty and huge!!

The place is at a distance from Ella town and up the hill, so no cars can reach there, we could only reach there by calling for a tuk tuk from the stay, however they were always very prompt in responding and sent the tuk tuk immediately for a standard charge. Also there is no ac but a pedastal fan is provided. Weather was great so this is completely fine.

This is a beautiful large room with a great view. The host are kind to arrange a tuk tuk ride at any time. There were options for basic western or Sri lankan breakfast which was served in the beautiful and specious balcony. You can also do a short trek down through the railway track during day light hours to catch some beautiful scenic spots and uninterrupted vies of the mountains, the host kindly showed us the way. Bathroom is equipped with necessities and has hot water.

The property seemed to be still under construction. No balcony railing, the bathroom was open to outside mosquitoes and no air-conditioning in the room that I had but it wasn't that much of an issue since the temperatures were comfortable. If you're driving you need to park 300 m away from the property and a tuktuk comes to pick you up for a fee. Which is another way of them making extra money. I think the room in the second floor would have been a better option but I didn't know this before booking. Another thing I didn't like is there was a TV but no satellite box so it was absolutely useless.

Very big room with excellent views! Everything was very clean and the guys were very attentive, helpful and friendly!! They even helped us washing our dirty clothes. Really good breakfast.
