The view of the waterfall and surrounding hills made the property worthwhile. Breakfast was good, especially the variety of fresh fruit. The property was clean and the shower water was hot.

The room needed some refurbishing as there were nails still stuck in the wall and some furniture was starting to look and feel tired. No air conditioning, when it was hot, you obviously felt it.

Amazing view and nice big bedroom.

Location. Surroundings felt like a building site. No hot water and power cuts. Kettle provided but no means to make tea or coffee. No soap in the bathroom

The views are stunning , and the bathroom is pretty

Cleanliness was poor. Stains on the sheets, stains on the pillows. we put T-shirts over our pillows to not sleep on the dirty stains. It might’ve been clean, and washed, but if your sheets are so yellow and stained (brown even, maybe period stains?) then it’s time to buy new white sheets. Especially because 50€+ per night is very expensive for Sri Lankan standards. If I would’ve paid 10€ a night in a hostel, I wouldn’t be complaining.

Difficult to get to

The room with the balcony was really beautiful and the view was worth it. The accommodation is a bit uphill, but you can walk up via stairs and there’s no need to drive. Some renovation is needed, but overall we were satisfied.

The cushions on the balcony are left to deteriorate – they’re not brought in, so you can’t sit on them as they’re wet and dirty, exposed to the weather. Breakfast starts too late, at 8:30. The service is not great at the moment – it’s definitely not included in the price (you’re basically paying just for the view and the nice room). Even getting toilet paper takes over 2 hours, and you have to remind them. Room cleaning and towel changes are only done upon request.

Everything was 10/10. The staff was amazing. The breakfast was great. Location was great it was just hard to get to but the staff made sure we got there good and let us use the tuk tuk for free.

Amazing view, super natural

A perfect place for a couple! The panoramic view was absolutely stunning – we had a balcony with comfortable seating where we could enjoy our mornings and evenings surrounded by nature. We woke up to the sounds of birds, and during the day squirrels and colorful birds would visit our terrace – it felt magical. The owner was extremely helpful, offering great tips on how to spend our time and organizing lovely and reliable tuk-tuk and taxi drivers for us. We felt well taken care of and truly relaxed. Highly recommended!

Nothing was good there. It was suffocating

The service is very very poor. They did not even give us a water bottle. The behavior of staff is very bad. Please never come to this place no matter what.

Great views on the waterfall and nature, big nice room with comfortable bed and great location up the hill. We booked this accommodation very spontaneously and therefore appreciated a lot that the hosts were so flexible and welcomed us so spontaneously. They organised tuktuks for us for our each of our trips and picked us up when needed. We really enjoyed our stay at Green Hearts Ella.

Has balcony which offers great views. Room is quite large and spacious.

Amenities were quite old and beaten down. Lack of aircon makes it unbearable during summer. Bathroom facilities were broken and is in dire need of upgrade.

The location is phenomenal. We had a view of a large waterfall and the whole valley from our bed. The staff were extremely accomadating.

We stayed at Green Hearts for two nights. Located just a few mins away from the centre of Ella this place is absolutely incredible, breathtaking views on the jungle and mountains, the room was big, comfortable and super nice ! Staff was also super friendly and helpful

Overpriced, yes the views are beautiful but the photos are misleading in my opinion, many better for value stays.

Stayed here beginning of April. The view from the balcony is absolutely beautiful and why we booked to stay here! The room and shower are lovely and the bed is comfortable. The hosts were always available via Watsapp and provide a tuk tuk service in and out of town, and were available straight away when asked. Very convenient. Also took us to the train station very early on day of departure. Breakfast is served in the balcony with view.

Not a negative , just be aware , this accommodation is b&b, anything extra you need, make sure you buy from the shops in Ella town, as their isn’t anything available here you may need. Our fan which was the air con was on a stand that didn’t fit , the fan fell and broke and there was not a second one we could have. But I’m sure they have a new fan now!

It’s clean and has nice view but location is the worst part As no car can enter inside the location and you need to take Tuk tuk to the main road to go to the city center or any other place from the hote

A lovely hotel in a quiet location with a beautiful view. Breakfast on the balcony was wonderful :) The staff were very friendly and welcoming.

Amazing view from the room, especially with the breakfast at terrace Room is clean and comfortable. The location is practically unable to reach by foot, so you kinda always need to get arranged a tuktuk, but the host is always available for reserving a lift Wherever you need.

I really liked it, it was amazing service and a kind host. We could even wish our clothes. It was a bit difficult to get there so you should go with Tuk Tuk✨🐆
