Seems a bit run down but great value for money.

Comfortable room, excellent shower, air con and lovely pool. Food was good and friendly staff. 2 minutes from the beach.

Room was very clean and huge, plenty of space for the four of us. Nice porch in front of the room where my wife and I had a beer. Tasty restaurant, staff very kind and helpful. Very close to the beach, nice swimming pool.

Staff didn't seem prepared for us. The meals did not reflect the pictures in the menu. Tandoori Chicken was ordered and came out as some unidentifiable goulash with little flavour. The sandwiches were nothing like the pictures so not expected and bland. We were told we could get a shuttle organised by the guest house but they never got back to us. Power was on and off all day of our last stay and no one informed us there was an issue We thought, going by the picture we were going to be near the beach, but we were 100 metres inland and no sea views. .

The spacious rooms we had. The breakfast was mostly okay. Plenty of choices for us. Lovely fresh bread.

I'm an expat living in Sri Lanka for 2 years. Been to a dozen of hotels around the island and so far this one of my favorite places. It's a nice small hotel/guesthouse for like 10 rooms. The garden and scenery inside is absolutely marvellous! They have a pool and unlike most of the enormous hotel pools with water temperature +30C in SL, it's small and really refreshing! The staff is really pleasant and helpfull (special cheers to Achala :). There was a construction works going in the neighborhood, and they moved me to the better room in another block far away from the noise for free. All the minor problems with the equipment have been dealt immediately. Very pleasant people and atmosphere where I felt like home. The location is also very nice - it's 1.5 hour ride from Colombo and you can just go there for a weekend. I came for 3 days, stayed for 2 weeks. WiFi is pretty good. It's also 3 minute walk from northern Moragalla beach which has a distant underwater reef that protects from waves and high tide even at the worst weather and during off season. Breakfast is good as well as dinner a-la-carte. This is not a luxury place but really cozy and totally worth the price. Will come back there again for sure

We booked 2 nights in a large room with 3 beds and a pool view/ garden view. We were given a normal double room balcony overlooking a car park at the front and the back overlooking the rubbish burning area. Smelly rubbish. The WiFi did not work at all in the room. We regularly use UBER taxis because we know that they will not rip us off. The hotel manager challenged the Uber driver and asked him how much he was charging? The driver was nervous. The manager apparently told him that he was taking their trade in transport. We never use hotel transport, it’s our choice

Nice garden. Vast menu including continental European choices if you fancy a change. Clean pool. Pleasant staff at reception - lovely ladies❤️ Good buffet breakfast

The pool is small, good as some where to cool off after sunbathing. The breakfast spread was covered in insects and flies which was a bit unpleasant. The bath in our room was stained, but then the taps had been capped off so you could not use it. There seemed to be a power cut that only affected our room when we tried to use the aircon to cool the room down whilst we were out. That seemed odd. The walk from the guesthouse to the beach is not the most pleasant. It could do with better lighting and the drains are not very nice.

Staff were helpful, this property is appropriately priced at about $50-70 a night. Anything more than that and it would be over priced. It’s a good budget guesthouse that is well located. The beach it has access to is a very nice beach as it has a natural sea wall that allows really safe sea swimming which can be hard to find in Sri Lanka with its stronger currents.

Nothing it was perfect

The property was beautiful, the staff were EXCELLENT always going above and beyond. As a group of travellers we felt so extremely welcomed, comfortable and safe. The owner dropped and picked us up whenever we wanted to explore the local town for such a reasonable price. I could not recommend staying here enough. The food was delicious and quick as well. THANK YOU!
