We stayed at Paper Moon Kudils for 10 nights and really enjoyed our time here. The accommodation is simple and comfortable — the bungalows are a bit dated but perfectly fine for sleeping, especially since we spent most of our time outdoors soaking in the stunning natural surroundings. The location has beautiful views of the beach and has a swimming pool. It’s a great spot to relax, swim, and explore the area. Getting around was super easy with tuk tuks always on hand to take us into Arugam Bay within minutes. What really stood out was the staff — incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help. They went out of their way to accommodate any request and made our stay feel relaxed and easy. If you're looking for a laid back beach stay with great service and a beautiful setting this is a great choice.

there was no wifi on the room, the signal was also quite bad it’s around 20’ by bike from arugam bay and there’s nothing much to do in that area

It was far away from any other restaurants but this was fine because we had the bike. Not really a negative but it would be great to add a drinks menu to know what drinks are available. The staff made us fruit juices & water but these weren’t on the menu. Overall we had a lovely relaxing stay.

We arrived and were able to check in early. The staff were all very friendly and happy to help. They organised bike hire which was perfect because the accommodation is approximately 20 minutes ride from Arugam bay. The room was basic with an outdoor bathroom and there is a restaurant on site. We didn’t eat much from here but the breakfast and noodles were nice. The pool was lovely and relaxing and you can walk straight onto the beach which was basically a private beach!

Mostly the staff was very friendly and they treat their guests very good. The food was very delicious and the fruits and vegetables are very fresh the place has spread through a large area the cabana type houses were very spacious and very much worth the price one of the best we had in our trip highly recommended.

I had a very bad mattress!! My partner and I eventually got a second room at the first rooms mattress sounded like a bomb dropped every time one of us moved so decided to stay separately… turns out the second room had a great mattress… so perhaps next time I should just have complained.

Great location right on the beach in front of Whiskey Point (surf break is not currently working), and only a 15 minute walk from the next closest surf break at Pottuvil Point. The staff were very friendly and helpful!

While our stay had its highlights, there are a few areas for improvement. The landscaping, particularly around the pool, could benefit from enhancements, as it didn't appear well-maintained during our visit. At first glance, the property may seem a bit undervalued in comparison to the price paid. However, these are relatively minor concerns that, if addressed, could elevate the overall guest experience.

Paper Moon Kudils 1 surpasses Section 2, excelling in both privacy and environmental considerations. The serene ambiance at the hotel is truly commendable. We thoroughly enjoyed the tranquil atmosphere, creating a perfect backdrop for a relaxing holiday. The culinary experience was delightful, with great food offerings. The staff provided excellent service, contributing to an overall exceptional and serene vacation for us!

Make sure you book the “sea view” we had a “garden view” which had photos of the pool and sea in the booking description but upon arrival we found we were in a seperate area which is a fair walk to the restaurant and pool area. They upgraded us to the sea view villas for a discounted rate
