My own fault, but I thought the picture showed a pool but it was a blue gate! We had the 2 bedroom apartment and only one room had air conditioning. Cooking facilities were very basic but we didn’t need them ( one very old gas ring ) Electric kettle and large fridge and sink in separate kitchen. Very little place for hanging clothes and only one towel each supplied. Towels were not changed in our 5 days but hosts were very obliging so I am sure they would have given clean towels had we asked. Hot water didn’t seem to work but we didn’t need it. Hosts seemed surprised when we mentioned it on leaving. We arranged to leave our cases for a day before moving in and hosts kindly allowed us to get changed at the property as we were soaked after a very rainy boat trip. Everything was clean. Beds comfortable. Mosquito nets and ceiling fans in place. Different plentiful breakfast each day.

One of the apartment rooms had no, AC just fan, but was ok.

The rooms were clean, very comfortable, and the staff was nice. The breakfast was also good with varieties between days. The location is relative near to the beach. Its near to many restaurants and shops. The internet was pretty good comparative with other places i've been in Sri Lanka.

We had the cheap room so was expecting it to be basic. Had a fan which was sufficient for our needs but room was a bit cramped. Holes in the mosquito net. No private outside space

When we arrived the lady first wanted us to park our rental tuktuk outside, although we specifically asked for private parking. Afterwards she allowed us to park on the property. Another strange thing was that she asked us to pay immediately when we arrived. The WiFi didn't work.

Central location, close to shops, restaurants and the beach. The owner is very friendly and prepared a nice (basic) breakfast for us. The room was basic but comfortable, and it included a mosquito net, which is necessary since there are gaps above the door and window.

Very nice place! Close to the beach, restaurants and shops. The hosts were very nice: i was supposed to have one room at the ground floor, but because of the humidity the bed was a bit damp, and they changed my room immediately with an upper floor one.

It was dirty. Especially the common kitchen was unusable, extremely filthy. It looked like the kitchen sink, counter top, utesils, plates, common outdoor seating area, tables were not cleaned in 50 yrs! Just get a detergent and clean it one day instead of sitting around. It is not difficult and does not require money to be clean!!!! Flush of the toliet did not work. Bathroom window was broken, letting all kind of bugs, ants, mosquitos in. Toilet seat was full of ants.. Poor shower, with little water pressure. A used hand soap (wrapped in toilet paper) in the bathroom! Basic and simple is ok for this price but there is no excuse to be dirty and not do basic maintenance.

We were in town for a big event, and the location was a quick walk, but far enough we could still get good rest without the noise pollution. Also, great eats close by. Family that runs the place is super nice also!

Can't say there was anything I didn't like.

The beach towns have guest houses galore to choose from. This one was a real pleasure. Sleep after too much time on airplanes, leaves, the house cats and a lizard the size of the cat strolled by. Local version egg lbreakfast, requested ahead and received a room with no stairs, clothing vendor, seafood burrito at the nearby restaurant, tuktuk to the Matara bus station (bus left 1/2 hour early, at 1:30 istead of 2PM), cheerful, helpful people, safe place, bottled water for sale, soundtrack: two college age guests whistling the theme to an old TV show.

I hated everything here! Worst place I’ve ever paid to stay in my life! Nothing was good! My bedding was dirty & smelled of dog wee. There was ants all in the sink in bathroom & on floor & up the walls. I complained but nothing was fixed with it. My door was where everyone’s TukTuk & scooters was parked. So very noisy. Early morning & late night noise was unbearable as I got no decent sleep, I tried to change the 3x nights to just one & they wouldn’t except with good enough cause. Staff unhelpful with changing dates or rooms.
