Reviews of Refresh Inn Ella

We had a great time at Refresh Inn. The hosts are so nice and tried their best to make our stay perfect. The facilities are new and provide lots of space. The breakfast was amazing as well as the location with a great view on Ella Rock and in walking distance to everything you need.

Sheets were slightly damp but easily aired out The top bedroom isn't particularly sound proof as it has a tin roof which attracts a lot of animals during the night (bring earplugs!!) Floor to ceiling windows and curtains don't cover the whole thing so very light in the mornings FYI - accommodation is not accessible, bedrooms are on the top floor with approximately 5 flights of stairs and no lift

Aunty Parameshwari took great care of us. Her breakfast was exceptional and also we could always ask for anything as it is our first time in Sri Lanka. The rooms were also very pretty and well lit. Would recommend everyone to stay here

The hotel is in a great location, just a short walk to Ella town, which was very convenient. The host was kind and welcoming.

However, the water pressure was a big issue during our stay. We had to wait about 25 minutes to get a shower because the motor was turned off, and even then, the water flow was very slow. The heater also didn’t work properly, so the water was only warm enough to wipe our face — not enough for a proper bath. With better water facilities, this place could be much more enjoyable

The location is not in the city centre

We enjoyed our stay, the staff was really friendly and we had an amazing view from our room. Downstairs is a spa you can use with a huge discount for guests of the refresh inn. However the room was really dirty and even after asking the staff, they didn’t clean our room.

A beautiful new place in Ella tucked away from the Main Street. We were welcomed by the lovely owner of this accomodation. It was a very relaxing stay here. The room was beautiful with views of Ella Rock. The bed was comfortable and the wifi and hot shower worked well. It is very close to the train station. Also walking distance to restaurants, ATM and bus station. We also were able to walk to the 9 arches bridge, Ella rock and little Adam peak from here. The breakfast was great! They also own a day spa and offered 50% off for guests. We were able to pay for the room with eftpos which was great.

We modified our booking dates on booking.com about a month prior to arriving and it meant that they double booked our last night. The owner arranged for us to stay in another motel for the final night which was not as nice as this room (even though it was more expensive for the owner). I wouldn’t let this deter you from booking this place however if you change your dates make sure to send a message and confirm with the owner.

Great apartman with the best view to Colombo, to the Lotus Tower, and to the Sea (from the infinity pool) in the one of the iconic high tower buildings in Colombo.. The service, the breakfast, the lobby, the room, the value for your money-all excellent.

The accommodation was just perfect! The room was super cozy and spotlessly clean. There was always hot water, which was great after a long day. The location is ideal – just a 5-minute walk to the city center. The host was incredibly friendly and very helpful, making us feel truly welcome. Absolutely recommended!

Wonderful location and views, really peaceful and away from the main road but close enough to be able to access everything. Our host was amazing, accommodation is above a spa and they offered discounted treatments which were great. Host also took us in tuk tuk to local spots. Really wonderful breakfast overlooking incredible views of the valley. Highly recommend

The staff were so friendly and kind. We needed to check out at 2.30am to go on safari so they prepared a fresh breakfast to take out. The location is ideal for Ella being close to the main town and train station. the view from our room was epic too. our room was clean and spacious and everything we needed.

Central location, friendly and helpful staff, breakfast was great and fresh. View is incredible! Place is great in terms of value for money.

Beds were very short (1.80m) and half broken, water pressure was extremely weak, overall the place can get some small things to improve the experience a lot (bin bag in room, towel change, brighter lights, shower curtain)

Room was not very clean and facilities might not be finished yet. Lightening in the room is very poor. However, the house is very good located in Ella, the owner is very helpful and the massage at their spa great. In comparison to what you pay, it’s absolutely fair!
