Resort Beam is run by a very warm and friendly couple who make you feel right at home. Resort Beam itself is a beautiful place, with large rooms and a nice garden, situated up the hill outside the busy center of Kandy. The second day the main light was out in our room. They immediately had a solution, which was very nice. The place is close to the center, 20 min walk, 10 min by tuktuk. Since it was raining, we used the Pickme app taxi service, which worked quite well.

We hoped to have a more peaceful stay but there were a lot of dogs and noices. The bathroom can use some paint. Also the terraces could have a table so you could really sit here. We had view on the garden but maybe next time we prefer a view on Kandy.

We only stayed for one night, but it was a truly lovely experience. The hosts were warm and welcoming, the room was clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was delicious. The location is peaceful and still close to Kandy. Even in a short time, we felt very well taken care of. Highly recommended!

The only thing I would point out is that there are no mosquito screens on the windows or the wooden shutters, so quite a few mosquitoes can get into the room. There is a mosquito net, but it has some holes, so unfortunately, a few mosquitoes still manage to get through.

The accommodation was nice and clean, just a short distance from the city center. It’s a bit uphill, so I recommend taking a tuk-tuk on the way back. The owner is a very kind and helpful lady. In the morning, they arranged transportation to the train station for us. And the breakfast was also great.

The house is at a hill and the way to go there at night is not the best because it's a dark road. You can easily walk to go down to city center (only 15min) but I recommend taking a tuktuk to come up. You can use pick me to take you there, it's cheaper! Kandy is a very crowded city with a weird vibe. But the host was very nice!

Great location, up in the hills so very peaceful away from the hustle and bustle of Kandy, but also very quick and easy to walk to the centre. Clean and spacious room with a balcony that felt like you were in the jungle. Very kind and welcoming host. Great restaurant a couple minutes walk away where we had a delicious dinner. 15 minute easy walk to the train station for our onward travel. Thank you very much!

Good location, up on a hill. Close to the city centre, but in a very quiet area, away from the hustle and bustle of Kandy. Very friendly and helpful hosts, tasty welcome drinks. We felt as a part of the family. Laundry service was okay (3000 rp).

Lovely home stay feel. Rooms were clean, comfortable and the staff were friendly and helpful. Wonderful views from just down the road, but the property itself is up a steep hill meaning we found it hard to get picked up in the morning! The walk to the bottom is only about 5 minutes though! Fantastic breakfast provided for an extra cost. Good value for money and we liked being a bit away from the busy vibes of the city!

Nothing . Maybe the optional guided tour (by a friend of hosts) was so worth it. The guide was non stop on the phone.

We felt immediately at home. The hosts were very friendly and playful with our children. They made us amazing breakfasts and dinner. Location is few minutes tuk tuk ride from town centre facing the jungle and… that is what you need after visiting noisy Kandy. We enjoyed our stay very much.

From the moment we arrived, we felt incredibly welcome. The hosts greeted us with a refreshing drink made from tropical fruit grown in their own garden, which was a lovely touch. They also arranged a driver to pick us up from the airport, making our arrival smooth and stress-free. The hospitality and attention to detail were truly appreciated.

I felt very safe, welcomed and comfortable at Resort Beam. It’s a very tranquil location with beautiful views as you arrive up the hill, but this did make it a little harder to come and go from. For me, that was worth it though. A plentiful home cooked breakfast!
