The room was clean. the hotel is 5 minutes walk from the center. the girl at the reception was very nice and polite. i liked everything, i recommend

I quite like it. 2 mins walk to the centre, and the station. Relaxing place, and the owner is very helpful.

Location was perfect! Close to the bars and restaurants and close to the train station. A small room withoyt AC, but it was like the pictures.

It is a familiy driven place and all are very sweet. Though it is not all of them who speeks english.

Great location near the train station and the Main Street in Ella. Very clean. There’s no aircon but that’s not a problem as it’s not that warm in Ella at night and the fan they have in the room does a good job at cooling you down.

Quite a cute and nice stay. We really liked the host's proactiveness in terms of welcoming us with Tea and trying to stay ahead in case we needed help with finding directions or parking. The fact that it's very near to the railway station is a added bonus. Good vfm overall.

The hosts are delightful. They really go out of their way to make your trip pleasant and easy. They helped me organise a driver with short notice

This is, without a doubt, the best place to stay in Ella. The owners and their daughter treated me like a family member. They were incredibly supportive when I was bitten by a snake and needed to go to the hospital. They came to the hospital without any hesitation, and as soon as I told them I was in the hospital. They stayed with me in the hospital for nearly 6 hours, also sorting out transport back to the hotel as it was late (around 1am). I should also add that this was all during their public holiday (New Year), and the hospital was around a 40-minute drive away. They supported me like they would be a family member, which was incredibly kind and appreciated as I was travelling on my own. Throughout my stay, they have gone above and beyond in making sure that I feel like at home. They were always available and happy to help with anything. In addition to the owners and their daughter being amazing hosts and the kindest people I have met, the location is perfect (just a short walk to the main road with great restaurants and shops), the bed is super comfortable, and the room feels very homely. I honestly can not recommend this place enough, and I will definitely be back one day.

Wi fi is not good for working, did not have a safe box nor desk as in description of the room.

It’s really close to the station, only 2 min walking, we had 2 big suitcases , still we could just walk down the slope and reach the location.

The room size is quite small, there hardly anymore space than to sleep and use bathroom

You share the small terrace with room neighbors, if you don’t like them you have a problem

They had a room available. We had arrived at Rowinrich Cottages to find it wasn’t located where it was shown on the Booking.com app and was in fact about 1km away from an Ella up a steep dirt road. This left us stranded and desperate for somewhere to stay. Ritz in was a pleasant surprise. The host was so nice and welcoming, the location was perfect, near the station, the Main Street, and walking trails. The room was quite small and the spec was in the shower but all was clean. There was also a nice sitting area shared between the 2 rooms.

We are not used to having electricity outllets in showers.

There is everything what is needed for stay - hot water, fridge, fan, wifi, parking. Friendly owners. Good wifi in room. Good location - 2mins from main street, but you do not hear all the beeps. They can prepare home made breakfast for good price.

The rooms was comfortable and super clean. The family were welcoming There's a laundry service, which returned our clothes spotless despite poor weather Location is great: really close to station and the towns main street. But not too noisy. Good value for money A really exceptional homestay!

We stayed in the smaller room, which is ok for 1-2 nights; we stayed 3 nights and felt a bit too compressed - but we knew it from other reviews alreay

It was a very clean room, comfortable bed and fantastic location. Hosts also very helpful, wifi was great.

The bathroom was a little small, but not a big deal.

No sufficient hot water shower. the small portable geyser don't give hot water. just 1 minute hot and remaining cold shower. being hill station there should be good hot showers

Stayed here after the train ride from Kandy to Ella, one minute walk and two minutes to the center. A perfect, clean room, with everything you need. The bed is extremely comfortable with a cute musquitonet. They also have laundry service. The host is very nice and welcomed us with a welcome drink and snacks. Highly recommended!
