One of the room didn’t have air con but good fans meant it didn’t matter

Lovely peaceful location with easy walk for shops/food/cold drinks The family are utterly delightful and made us so welcome - they even made me a surprise birthday cake!!! Dinner and breakfast were delicious. The rooms were spotlessly clean and our room had an amazing open air shower and bath 😍

I would suggest a bedside lamp and possibly replacing the pillows, which were overstuffed and quite hard. But, I personally prefer softer pillows.

What a lovely family home stay❤️ I loved chatting to the kids! They were so friendly and helpful. This homestay is in a forest, and the bird life is amazing. The room is spacious, with an aircon, a large private shower room, a basin, and a toilet. The outside veranda was awesome to sit, relax on, and watch the birds and squirrels at play. The mosquito net proved useful, and the bed was very comfortable with crisp white linen sheets. The room also had plenty of plug sockets for charging devices, with excellent WiFi and a fabulous breakfast is included. There are a few lovely restaurants within a 5 minute walk from Shan's homestay. It was a little piece of paradise.

We loved our stay at Shan Homestay. Tamali and her family were a delight. The food was fabulous. We are Vegan and they were very accommodating. They were so helpful with Tuk Tuk rides🛺 to Sigiriya Rock early for sunrise and sunset at Pidurangala ❤️🇱🇰 This place is comfortable and uniquely designed by Tamali’s husband. We would recommend staying here if you want a true Sri Lankan experience. 🙏

Couldn't get hot water to work in the morning (worked perfectly night before). Probably due to the huge rainfall we had in the night. However we didn't ask for help so it's probably our fault!

Absolutely everything. 🥰 We stayed in the tree house in the most beautiful setting. Exceptionally clean. Food was home cooked and delicious, we decided to have our evening meal there as well. The family were friendly and so helpful. I would go back in a heartbeat. Our favourite place so far. Owner guided us to fuel station in morning so we didn't get lost. We felt they were under charging hugely based on our last few stays. Would happily have paid double.

Paradise found. An Unforgettable Homestay with a Wonderful Family. Our stay at this homestay was a once in a lifetime experience, near the village almost in the jungle, it felt like paradise. The family was unbelievably welcoming and made us feel completely at home. The children were amazing, kind, polite, and full of energy. We had so much fun playing cricket and cards together creating wholesome memories. The host lady was very thoughtful assisting us with things, like arranging a tuk tuk shuttle to the lion rock that was drive by the kind husband. To celebrate my mother's birthday, the children even surprised her with cute gifts. This homestay was a heartwarming experience with an amazing family. We highly recommend it to anyone seeking an authentic and unforgettable Sri Lankan experience.

It's worth for the price. Very beautiful location it's not far from sigiriya rock . Owner and his family was very friendly and they gave us very delicious welcome drinks and breakfast. Highly recommend.

Lovely family who really help out a lot. They are very sweet and brought us to Pidurangala rock at 4:30! Also, we had breakfast which was delicious. Overall, would recommend 10/10!

Such a friendly host, and a beautiful garden. We only stayed for one night but felt very welcomed. The children were so nice and found ways to play with us even though they didn’t know much English. And there was a very relaxed dog (but it went away when we wanted it to). We had a delicious home cooked meal In the evening and breakfast was amazing.

This place is amazing, the family are so kind and friendly, anything you need they are there to help. The location is also beautiful, set in the family’s garden in the jungle and the food we had every night was delicious! If you’re coming to sigiriya I definitely would recommend staying here

There was lizard in the room & monkeys or don't know what it was they keep on doing things on the ceiling 🥴

Shan home stay Is a hidden gem in the Sigiriya area. Property owner is very friendly. Clean and compatible room and bathroom. Me and my husband fully satisfied about this.
