Communication with the family who run the guest house was difficult as most of the time there were no adults there that could speak adequately English.

Lovely room. In the heart of the historic city close to restaurants and shops etc. Very peaceful as it was down a quiet alley.

The location vas perfect just in the Fort area. The room was ok but not more. Small and dark, no window. The staff was very nice and helpful.

Our air conditioning wasn’t working, at first the staff denied there was anything wrong with it however later finally agreed to let us switch rooms

I am a seasoned traveller so its basic nature did not put me off. I have no interaction with the staff nor did I eat there. It was perfectly OK, just very basic. I would happily recommend to the backpacking community. The place had a nice vibe and you could go onto the roof to get views. Brilliant location but pricey, on account of being in Galle.

I thought shower system was pretty bad. I didnt like that after 11 in the evening you have to call number to get in or out. I think you should be allowed to go as you wish.

Water in the shower could be a bit warmer

Very friendly and helpful staff. They helped us with getting taxi’s and made sure we had a good night of sleep. The location is great, it’s located right in the centre of Galle Fort

I had a wonderful time at Shoba's. The ambience of the place is so nice and the staff are lovely. The location is fabulous, right in the heart of the historical fort area and so close to everything this delightful town has to offer. Great value at the price. I would definitely stay here again.

Mirrors inside the room would be helpful. We had to go back and forth to washroom while getting ready. Also the ceiling fan is not working properly at different speed level. Though the room has AC some like me don’t prefer it.

The boutique experience of a comfortable homestay with friendly hosts. Lush green plants inside the open cottage type setting makes it peaceful and soothing to the eyes. Loved the Harare boutique’s hottie reception where one can get trinkets for back home. The chef at home also can cook for you staple Sri Lankan dishes at your request.

Very basic but clean room with airconditioning and shower, in the back end of a shop. Great location and friendly staff. Fit for purpose for travelers.

Wasn’t a huge issue but just be aware that the property is shut after 11pm and doesn’t open until just before 8am. I woke early to watch the sunrise at 5:50 but couldn’t leave as I didn’t realise this would be the case. Perhaps I could have asked about this before had I realised!

The property is in a fantastic location and the staff are really lovely. They arranged an airport transfer for me who was also lovely.

The sheets were a little uncomfortable but it wouldn’t stop me from staying there in the future.

Fantastic location, everything is walkable. I loved the building, there is a communal area where you can relax on the couch or have a meal at the table. There is also a clothes line on the roof top which was great if you hand wash your clothes. Very friendly staff.

The location is great. Just walking distance to most of the attractions in Galle. They serve quiet a good breakfast

Bathroom was separate to bedroom, accessible via the balcony which made it less easy to access in the middle of the night.

Fantastic location, in the centre of Galle Forte, surrounded by all major sites and restaurants. Great aircon that cooled down the room instantly. Simple, yet tasty breakfast and kind staff.
