Very good stay at Sigiri lion villa, The hosts were very friendly and accommodating, the room is clean with a good bed and mosquito net) location is close to center and overall calming relaxing vibe:)

The place is under construction so only the bottom two rooms are available. The facility is basic but works for a single night if you are venturing out full day. The place is managed by two people who are extremely nice and helpful. Breakfast was decent as we wanted vegetarian meals. Overall no issues.

Food options require a walk down and we were informed not to step out post 630pm alone due to wild life. Rest no issues.

The host was super kind & they fulfilled my inquiries for breakfast. Bed was super comfortable!

The family in charge of the villa is adorable! Very helpful and kind. I recommend it!

The hosts were exceptional, we had the best time! Not only did they make us feel like family but they also organized trips for us and told us many insights about activities to do on the island! Highly recommend staying here.

Low price, good breakfast

There is no hot water in the shower, and terrible sound insulation. I've been arranging a transfer from the airport with the hotel owner for several months. On the day of arrival in the morning, he writes that the cost has increased 1.7 times because the driver does not want to drive at the initially agreed price. As a result, I got there with the help of PickMe, the price turned out as originally agreed with the owner.

I was well looked after by the hosts. The nature that you can see from this property is absolutely stunning.

Great guesthouse with a lovely host family. The room was comfortable. I had breakfast and dinner which were both very good. The guesthouse is in a peaceful and quiet part of the town and there is a beautiful lake round the corner. The hosts helped me organise tuktuks and bike hire.

This guesthouse offered a truly delightful stay! The hosts were exceptionally friendly and went above and beyond to ensure our comfort, readily assisting with any request. The location was perfect – a tranquil escape just off the main road, yet conveniently close to Lion Rock. This quiet setting was a welcome respite after a day of exploring. A further bonus was the delicious breakfast and dinner provided by the hosts – a welcome convenience and a tasty treat. Overall, a highly recommended experience.

Good location for long stay, as we stayed for one night the transport was expensive. The property is far from the main road. Good environment to stay for long.

Owner not staying in the property, we have to make a phone call every time. Basic amenities were provided. Wish they provide a Kettle and glasses and bowels too.

The room was in a perfect location in the forest, loved hearing all the wildlife around us. The room was clean and comfortable. The best part about the stay was the family, they cooked us sri lankan breakfast every morning and the best tea. Good location, close to the lake and 10min walk to the main road.

The owner was constantly trying to sell us something. I get that when they want to present the options, but asking for the plans all the time and trying to force something every minute that we spent near the room just didn't feel nice. The breakfast was OK, although we had richer breakfasts elsewhere. The room was ok, classic with basic furniture but it had AC. The bathroom could be cleaner and it would be nice if there was some net on the bathroom window. He did arrange the driver for the morning hike to Pidurangala but again, would be cheaper if we'd arange it ourselfs. In the end, he tried to charge us 2000 lkr more then the booking said, when I corrected him, he just said "yes". So...all about the money, nothing else. Felt a lot more welcome in other homestays :)
