Room was basic but had everything that you need for a few nights stay.

Sarat is an incredible host and went above and beyond when we stayed here and was very attentive! Really comfortable bed aswell. Location is fab just off the main road and easy access to restaurants and about 10 mins walk to viewing of lion rock! Was lovely to be surrounded by the jungle at night especially seeing the monkeys at breakfast. Has a lovely balcony area looking into the jungle too.

Our rooms could have been together. The three rooms we booked were not next to each other which is what we preferred but this is hardly a dent in the overall stay and experience.

We had an outstanding stay at Sigiri Rainbow Lodge, which we’d easily rate around 9 to 9.5 out of 10. 1. Unbeatable Location Just a short, picturesque walk from the entrance to Sigiriya Rock (around 1 km), this charming lodge puts you right in the heart of the action. Other key sites like the Sigiriya Museum and Pidurangala Rock are also within easy reach. 2. Spacious & Refreshingly Simple Rooms Our room was refreshingly spacious, clean, and comfortable—with a balcony or patio opening to quiet garden views. The simple décor includes essentials like a desk, a dining area, air conditioning, and thoughtful extras like mosquito nets and free toiletries. 3. Warm, Helpful Hosts The owner and staff were exceptionally friendly and eager to help. 4. Excellent Value & Breakfast We felt the pricing offered true value. They offered breakfast at 7:30 AM but as ours was a short stay and had other plans, we had to skip breakfast. 5. Pleasant Amenities & Atmosphere The property features a lovely garden, outdoor seating, and a calm ambiance—almost like staying in a jungle retreat. Despite feeling tucked away, it’s still very close to local attractions and dining options.

Great location that's really easy to get to key activities like Pidurangala Rock and Sigiriya for sunrise. The room was quiet and as per the description/images. There is an excellent restaurant across the road (Liya Restaurant) which I would highly recommend for breakfast/dinner!

Super nice owner! The rooms are clean and decent (make sure you get the ones with AC though since not all of them have AC). When we arrived, no double room with AC was available so the owner gave us a family room instead for the same rate which was great. The breakfast was very good and copious!

We understood that we were going to be staying at very basic accommodations, but the room we had looks nothing like the pictures. It really needs some paint touch ups and some bathroom improvements.

The location is perfect! You won't be disappointed if you order the breakfast. The price is great, as long as you keep in mind you get what you pay for. The owner is wonderful and really helpful, he will arrange different experiences for you, and give you lots of suggestions to fill your time.

Could be hot depending on whether...make sure to check AC and Non AC room as per your requirement. Washroom was basic with 1 soap provided and make sure to take help from owner if you want to operate geyser.

Fantastic accommodation. The rooms are spacious, clean, and have good hot water and air conditioning. The breakfast was excellent with very generous portions. The owner is really friendly and helpful, with suggestions of what to do, and was happy to arrange tuktuks to the main sights etc. It's really close to the entrance of Sigiriya, and about 3-4km away from Piddurangula. It's pretty quiet, so not amazing if you're looking to meet people here, but ideal for a quiet solo trip or if you're a couple or a family. I also thought it was really good value - highly recommended!

The bathroom is pretty basic and could benefit from some “freshening up” and the bedroom would benefit from bedside tables and perhaps lamps.

The lodge is set away from the road so is relatively quiet but close to restaurants, shops and ATM. The room we had was a good size, basic but clean - and the en suite huge. The rooms have a lovely balcony overlooking the garden. The host was delightful, always ready to offer his help.

The door of the bathroom needs improvement as it was very old.

There were many insects in the bathroom but to be fair Sigirya is in the Jungle. Maybe a Net or something in the window can fix that problem.

The Host and his wife were very friendly and had many good tips. The room in the first floor is basic but is fullfilling its purpose. Both of the rocks can be reached easily. The Host rented us his scooter for 1500 LKR.

The male staff member was always trying to sell me something. Although most things were useful, it was the basis of every conversation which was a little annoying.

As many location in Sri lanka, pressure under shower was not excellent.

The location is great, near restaurants and main attractions of Sigiriya. The place is safe and the owner was very kind. He came everyday to see us and made sure we got evertyhing we need. He helped us booking safari and it was cheaper than on internet. His driver was excellent. On check out day, we were supposed to take train. Due to strike, no train. He took 5 hrs of his time to drove us at the new destination. Thank you so much !!!!!

It wasn't a problem for me, but mentioning it in case it matters to someone: in the AC room there was no fan, so if you don't want to use AC, you don't have the alternative. But to be fair - I didn't ask for the fan, maybe I would get one if I did :) In the end the temperature in the room was good even without the fan, so the lack of it was not a problem.

Very nice place 3 minutes away from the Sigiriya center. Rooms are big, clean and comfortable and the owners are very nice. Very good value for such price.

It was handy that our room came with a mosquito net over the bed because we did need it. A few mosquitos got in the room which was annoying but probably standard for an “in the jungle” type stay. The breakfast was a bit average. Our friends room didn’t have a mosquito net but they did have aircon! Our room only had a fan which we were a bit disappointed with but it did the job for the most part.

For a stay “in the jungle” I thought it was really good. The location was great and our favourite restaurant (Liya) was just across the road. It was peaceful. Staff were very attentive and friendly.
