If you like retreat location, this is the one for you. Very close to the Lyon Rock and restaurants. The breakfast was delicious.

Although the location is lovely and surrounded by forest, just keep in mind that it can be quite dark if you walk there at night. The bathroom could be a little more cleaner.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the location is great, close to the main attractions and just a short walk from the stunning views of Lion Rock. Local breakfast was delicious, with generous portions that will definitely keep you full!

Since the place is located in the forest, insects are expected. If you stay for more than one night we suggest to accept the room cleaning, which was offered us. We thought it was not necessary, but it was indeed.

Owners and staff are fantastic and strive to make the stay as comfortable as possible. As an example, they brought us at 4.45 AM to Lion’s Rock. Breakfast was the best we had in Sri Lanka. The location is in the forest but still close to restaurants of Sigiriya (approximately 10 mins walking) and main attractions (eg, Lion’s Rock). They also organized a Safari at Minneriya Park for us. The cost-quality ratio was far beyond expectations!

The owner was so kind and helpful. His family were amazing and looked after us really well. I loved the local Sri Lankan breakfast they served 😍. There was so much food , me and my husband really struggled to finish it and we are big eaters. The whole setting is really authentic and magical. You get a great view of the lion rock two minutes walk away .

The property is 10 minutes walking from the Main Street and access to the Sigiriya rock. Despite this,it is really quiet and private. Owners are extremely kind. We booked a safari directly with them and it has been the best experience possible! Also..free of charge the owner dropped us by the Pidurangala Rock at 4.45 for our early climb.

The location was amazing, really secluded but yet only a short walk to an area with loads of restraunts and bars with an amazing view of lions rock, the owners are amazing and we had the best brekfast, it was a sri lankan style brekfast with all the trimmings and it was amazing!!!!!!

I had a wonderful stay--warm and helpful host family, good spread of breakfast, clean and big room, WIFI is good enough I was using it for work and calls/meetings were fine. If you plan to hike pidurangala rock, they can drive you in the morning for free.

Amazing location, super friendly host! He woke at 4:30am to drop us to Lion Rock which was amazingly kind. The property was very remote and jungle-y, it was very beautiful outside scenery.

We were so sad to leave this vibrant place. The owner was the sweetest guy who helped us in so many ways. He arranged the safari visit for us and even woke up at 4:30 AM so that he could drive us to the Pidurangala site. Also if we had any trips around he would always managed to get us the best price of tuktuk and other things. He just made our short stay really comfortable and much more enjoyable. You should definitely visit his place.

The host was very helpful in suggesting activities for us to do in Sigiriya and organised a safari for us as well. This turned out to be the best thing we did while there! The breakfast was delicious and a huge portion, excellent location with so many restaurants within walking distance. Mini fridge in the room with water and fizzy drinks at very cheap prices was also very nice

I loved everything, totally recommend this place!

Mr Pryiantha was the best host I've ever met! He helped us with everything, we arrived with very few plans and he advised us on what to do and with whom for all the days we were there. His wife is also a very sweet lady that prepared every day the biggest breakfast we had in Sri Lanka! The rooms were good and there was hot water and good wifi. Very clean. The location is great, you can walk to restaurants, to the village and to a great place to see the sunset. We also did the safari with a driver recommended by Mr Pryiantha that was amazing, we saw more than 50 elephants. Thank you so much for treating us so well!

The accommodation is located a short distance into the forest and is very peaceful and green with many beautiful plants and some cute dogs. The rooms are nothing fancy but have everything you need, plus a nice terrace to sit outside in the evening and read a book or listen to nature. The hosts are extremely kind and helpful. They organised a trip to Polonaruva and a safari for us and advised us on the best value for money. Our stay overlapped with a major Buddhist holiday and they were so kind to invite us to the festival at the temple and let us participate in the activities. When we left, we left a tip and the owner said he gives half of it to making food for the stray dogs - a plus if you’re an animal lover. Overall, would highly recommend!
