The Sigiriya Nature Resort was the best accommodation we had in Sri Lanka! The little cabin was clean and well equipped. Pasanna and his family were amazing hosts, made sure we were always feeling welcome and even helped us when there was a dead mouse in our Tuk Tuk 😄 The breakfast was very tasty and filling. The safari tour we took with Pasanna was amazing and very memorable. We can recommend going to the National park with him, as he made sure to respect the space of the animals which we really appreciated- so it wasn’t a chase hunt. All in all we had a very pleasant time and can highly recommend staying here!

Prasanna and his family are incredibly warm hosts who truly care about the well-being of their guests. Prasanna takes care of every possible need and arranges safari tours, taxi rides, and many other wishes with ease. The accommodation is very clean, cozy, and has a special natural vibe – you feel at home right away. The breakfast was an absolute highlight: a wide variety of Sri Lankan specialties, freshly and lovingly prepared. We can highly recommend this nature resort!

We arrived at the nature resort and were welcomed by a nice and warm family. We only booked our stay ten minutes before arriving, but the house we stayed in was perfect, clean and ready for us so we immediately could go in to our own house. The location was beautiful, we were surrounded by nature and some cute animals like chicken, dogs, cows and monkeys. The owner was a very nice, respectful and helping person. He helped us with our trips to the lions rock, the elephant safari and a village tour with a nice cooking workshop with local people. He made sure we were safe and was thinking about us and our safety and happiness. The rest of the staff were also very friendly and provided us with a clean house and nice breakfast everyday. We were really happy to get to know them and that we could stay in their own build beautiful houses. Would definitely recommend staying here!

The description of the chalet on the booking didn’t quite match - it’s not sound proof and there was no living room, however there was a balcony. The resort is still under construction but has huge potential.

Staff were lovely and very helpful. The chalet is cosy, the bathroom spacious and clean, and the AC worked very well. Great location, only a short walk away from the local store and great juice bar and a few minutes tuk tuk ride from lots of restaurants.

The family that run this place are very friendly, welcoming and will assist you with organising anything at all - from activities to transport. The home cooked dinner is wonderful and a big portion! The spot is located quite close to all the main sites to see, with a few nearby cafés. Overall, I had a great stay and would recommend!

The hospitality was on another level – this is a genuine family-run spot with Mum, Dad, Brother, and Sister all hands-on, and you can feel the love and care they’ve put into every detail. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the food was delicious, and they made us feel like part of the family. They're currently building a treehouse-style room and a pool, and it already looks promising. We also booked a game drive with Prasanna (the brother) and it was unreal – we saw over 100 elephants alone thanks to his local timing, while hundreds of cars were arriving just as we were leaving. The owner was extremely helpful in booking trips for us and the traditional food was delicious. You are very surrounded by nature and in a good location to get to the main attractions in sigiriya. We even saw a peacock on top of our villa! Would 100% recommend as very good value for money

Very nice individual house in a private "garden", surrounder by nature, animals, (peacock, monkeys, etc.). The house is from a short tuk-tuk ride from the "city" where there are many bars and restaurants. But also, there is a nice restaurant 5 min walk called Coconut shades. So overall we enjoyed our stay. We had an issue at the beginning with water but it got solved. Wifi also worked well.

Prassana was really helpful in assisting us with planning activities. He was flexible and catered to our wishes, driving us around for a fair price. He also got us cheap taxis to and from the accommodation. The breakfast was really good. The room was clean, comfortable and the AC was good.

Nothing. Just a tiny detail which certainly didn't spoil our stay but a little fridge in the room would have been a great addition.

Lovely property, beautifully presented & decorated in a quite spot surrounded by wildlife. There was lots to do on your doorstep. We had a fantastic experience arranged by the owner which was a trip in a tractor, then rowed around a beautiful lake. We then walked to the village to be treated to a brilliant cookery lesson and a sumptuous feast afterwards. We understand the safari arranged by the son in his jeep is a great but sadly we hadn't git enough time to enjoy this.

We had a great time at Sigiriya Nature Resort, a beautiful place in the green. The owner family is very friendly and helpful. They organized several private car an Tuk Tuk transports for a good price. All worked fine. In addition, we booked the village tour, which was an amazing experience incl. a beautiful boot trip and cooking with locals. The food was fantastic. Finally we also had dinner at the accomodation, where the mother and daughter prepared delicious food. It is definitely a place you should stay.

Our whole experience at this hotel has been amazing from start to finish. The host was incredibly welcoming and helpful, ensuring we had everything we needed throughout our stay. The room was spacious, spotless, and very comfortable. Both breakfast and dinner were delicious, with fresh and flavorful meals that we truly enjoyed. Every request we had was accommodated without any issues, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The host also arranged several tours for us, including a village tour, a relaxing massage, and a day trip to Polonnaruwa—all at very reasonable prices. I highly recommend the village tour—it was a fascinating experience! We explored a beautiful local lake by a small boat, witnessed a unique showcase of traditional cooking, and enjoyed an authentic, delicious meal. The massage was incredibly relaxing, and thanks to the host, we received a great discount. If you have time, a visit to Polonnaruwa is definitely worth it—an incredible historical site full of stunning ruins and history. Additionally, the host arranged multiple taxi transfers for us as we traveled around Sri Lanka. These were of high quality and fairly priced, unlike the inflated rates some other hotels offer. Overall, we had a fantastic experience and would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Sri Lanka!

Really nice lodges set in nice gardens. The rooms were a good size and very clean, bathroom was also big and had hot water for a good shower. Prasanna was a great host and his family did a great job to make us feel comfortable - fresh juice on arrival, great breakfast and we had a couple of evening meals which were big portions and delicious. Our highlight was the elephant safari with Prasanna - we organised it when we got there and could choose a good time for us, we saw around 40 elephants in total, he was a great driver and did well to find spots where no one else was around to see the elephants. Would definitely recommend to stay here and do the tours on offer as they are great quality and a good price.

Great location, close to many of the attractions. Prassana was an amazing host, welcoming us with a fresh coconut on arrival. The food throughout was delicious, including the breakfasts and the dinner we had. Nothing was too much for him to organise, helped us plan our itinerary and took us on some fantastic trips. Nothing. It was perfect and very nice

Prasanna welcomed us warmly and made our stay great for us. He was receptive and super helpful. So he took us to the Lions rock and picked us up, as we still had a slightly jetlag through the flight. After this his sister cooked a very delicious dinner, which we can recommend to everyone. The elefant safari with him, including breakfast and the trip to Polonnaruwa, were also great with him- you will see a lot. When we were standing in the downpour with our bikes, he was surprisingly on the spot to collect us. The lunch he will recommend full is worth it. Look at the pictures. Several curries. Yummy!!! You can trust, you will get the best, if you do tours with him. The price is fair and the help great. Safety is very important for him to his guests, therefore he writes often per WhatsApp what is very helpfully. The apartment is very spacious and very clean. Warm water as well. There are lots of nice animals around like hornbills and peacocks. In the directly neighbourhood there is also a nice restaurant with srilankian food. We can recommend this place to everyone who wants to stay in Sigiriya.

I loved everything in this place. Cabins are so cute and comfortable I didn’t want to leave. It feels very private, away from all hassle yet still with amazing restaurants and also shop and good bakery few metres away. We ended up dining here couple of times because the homemade curry was simply too delicious. Each bungalow has chairs outside so you can chill comfortably. I liked that owner is very helpful but in any means he’s not pushing you to book things through him which I find very nice. Breakfast was big and delicious. This was one of our top accommodations in Sri Lanka. The location is also perfect - you can organise or catch tuk tuk right from the street in front of the stay and there is also a bus stop few metres away from where we later took bus to Dambulla. I read some other reviews and what really sends me is when people give bad review because of insects. Hello, like any other place in Sigiriya you’re literally in the middle of jungle! It’s like complaining you’re wet after you swam in the ocean 🙃 There is mosquito vaporizer in room so no need for mosquito net - we didn’t have any mosquitoes in room.

Really enjoyed my stay at Sigiriya Nature Resort! The host and family were super welcoming, kind and caring. They went out of their way to help by recommending and organizing not only activities but also transport for me during my short stay. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the food was delicious.
