Bed bugs, used bedding given to us. There are lots of similar places cheaper

A bar would be good - staff were good at getting what you wanted but not many drinks or snacks in stock. More loungers around the pool would be good. Staff are helpful and kind but not always engaging - you need to seek them out and ask.

This is a great little place to stay. It's quiet as it's on a side street but not very far from where all the action is. The villa is lovely and the pool was excellent for a mid afternoon cool off. The staff were nice, helpful and always around when I needed something. For the price paid I would definitely recommend. It's clean, comfortable and affordable. The AC worked well and the beds were decent.

Only minor complaint was the Internet would go down every now and again for a while. When it worked is was fine though. Please note that other than breakfast, the villa does not serve food, only drinks. Not a complaint though as there are places to eat quite close by.

Staff were not very welcoming. We were given one bedroom and then were changed in the middle of the day to another one. There were cockroaches in the room and the only view from the window was a brick wall (moreover windows could not be opened)

We had a good stay at the hotel, despite both of our children being ill during our visit. The staff took great care of us, which we really appreciated. While there were a few harmless bugs in the room, the beautiful pool and grounds made up for it. Since we spent a lot of time at the hotel due to the illness, the pleasant surroundings were very important to us.

Very friendly people. The owner even made us breakfast for our early safari. It tasted great. Beautiful and safe house, even has a fence.

Wifi wasn’t working. Bit of a weird smell in the room.

The staff was very profesional. The breakfast was exelent, you are able to chose your own menu.

This is more like a homestay. Its an old colonial bungalow with old world wooden furnishings converted into a small hotel. The pool is clean. The shared living room is very airy and a good place to relax and sit and read something. The staff tried their best to rustle up some vegetarian breakfast for us every morning !!! We stayed for six days. Noticing that we spend our evenings reading books, the staff gave us some good books on Srilankan history for browsing through.

Everything was fine. But, since the hotel is surrounded by greenery on all sides, you may find a small frog or a lizard in your bathroom. Doesn't bother us. We are used to a co-existing with a few insects and even snakes ........... But, IF , IF you are scared of cockroaches and lizards, check the bathroom before entering. Especially early in the morning.

Loved the pool, room with garden veiw had a large bed, a little harder than i would have liked but ok. The sri lankan breakfasts were lovely, the caretaker who looked after us was exceptional and always there to help, nothing was to much trouble. Location was quiet, great for us as we had our own transport, but only a short walk to the local supermarket. Air con was amazing.

WiFi was not great. The worst we uave encounted in Sri Lanka. And the TV didn't have any channels.
