A peaceful place for lovers of the sea, skykiting, and nature.

Need to install a dimmer on the ceiling fan, which was on full blast and I was cold during the night. Otherwise, everything is fine, basic.

A haven of peace, 3 km from the small town of Kalpitiya, 3 or 4 km from the beaches. Spacious cottage, mosquito nets ok. Very good food at the restaurant. The owner is very helpful. Possibility of receiving a very good massage or other Ayurvedic treatments. Great walks nearby. Allow 1 hour to get to Palavi by tuk tuk (bus stop) and 4500 lkr. There is also a bus station in the small town of Kalpitiya nearby...

Malik is so warm and welcoming! He organised a trip for us to a remote island for a decent price, and was generally just lovely to chat to!! His son Aman was very sweet too. The food (especially the curries) was amazing, free water refills and included a varied breakfast - we especially loved the lentil curry balls. Safe parking for our rented tuktuk and in a nice location - I even used the pool for small sum at a place round the corner! It’s out in nature so be mindful of spiders but they didn’t bother us. I would definitely recommend Malik and this homely place!

The name of this hostel truly reflects the place—it is a paradise. It’s a pity this location isn’t more frequented because it’s a fantastic spot, surrounded by coconut palms and charming huts. The owner, Malik, is an excellent host who speaks perfect English and goes out of his way to make guests feel comfortable. Since there were only four of us staying, he generously offered each of us a private room for the same price as a dormitory bed. The beds are equipped with mosquito nets, and they also provide towels, which adds to the comfort of the stay. Breakfast is included, and they offer a restaurant service for lunch and dinner. Additionally, they can arrange various activities in the area. While recent storms have damaged some facilities and the access road—possibly explaining the lower number of visitors—the place remains well-maintained, clean, and conveniently close to both the beach and Kalpitiya Dutch Fort. Day and night, this place offers the perfect tranquility to disconnect from the world and relax. The restaurant terrace has board games, books, and even a lovely cat to keep you company. I highly recommend this hostel—it’s affordable, well-managed, and offers excellent service.

The booked room wasn't available as they gave it to someone else without updating it in booking. It was solved by giving us the dorm for ourself. Bathroom wasn't super clean. The 'rice and curry' at dinner was really not nice.

Nice host, good location, lots of space to chill, not far from beach and lagoon. Breakfast was nice (good omelette with toast). Kottu was also good.
