We only had one night in Ella and left early the next morning to catch a train. The rooms were nice and clean, and the host friendly. The terrace was great to sit outside.

The owners were super nice and friendly and even gave us complimentary breakfast and coffee which was so nice of them. I couldn’t recommend this place enough, one of the best places we’ve stayed on our whole travels!

For the price it was exceptional, no issues at all !

The room was spacious and comfortable. The balcony area- which was very spacious with a huge rocking chair, table and chairs - led onto a beautiful view- we even saw monkeys playing in the nearby trees! The shower was hot and all the linen was very clean. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious- local home made dishes, as well as loads of fruit and toast. Great place to stay!

Just advice, not complains.. Even though there is WiFi available, there was zero signal in the rooms, maybe they need to check that. A repaint of the room is really required, because it is a bit moldy and there is a hint of mold smell.

The owner is extremly friendly and helpful. The room and bathroom were ok and the view from the balcony was amazing. Breakfast served at the property very good.

Although comfortable, mattress was a little soft on one side, nothing a rotation won't fix.

Location was close 300LKR from town yet up in the hills overlooking Ella Rock. Food was excellent, ate here every night. Run by a young family with excellent customer service skills. Hired a scooter from guest house.

The staircase to reach the hotel didn’t have rails which could be a problem for some people.

The room was nice and had a good view. The beds were comfortable and they had warm covers. The hosts were very kind and helped arrange tuktuks to and from the hotel. Breakfast had a nice presentation. Damith was always there to help.

they could have advised us to take the train to Unawatuna, ( station is about 15 mins away ) but they only knew about a taxi service, which is very expensive compared to taking a train. this was mostly our mistake , certainly do your own research for travel to other places. / when we visited in July, construction was yet going on downstairs.

The care takers were exceptionally good at their service. very helpful. Excellent breakfast, with local food. A special thanks to Madhu and her husband. we also rented a bike from them.

Many local food outlets were there around the property, but none of them were open during our stay.

Nice and calm location with a good view. Tasty food. Friendly service. A little far from the centre, which is around 20 minutes walk, but that's worth the view on the way. Also, you can get the buses to Ella and Bandarawela from the doorstep. Can get a tuk for a reasonable price from Ella to the location. If you need, they will arrange a scooter to travel around. Grocery shops are also there nearby.

the Wi-fi was not fast enough for me to be able to work online and my phone didn’t have a decent Internet connection there either, so I had to leave. The place is far from the centre, keep it in mind if you don’t have your own vehicle.

the room was fully furnished, it even had a desk (and a kettle) the view was nice I got to try traditional Sri Lankan food for breakfast the bad and the pillows were really comfy

Lovely spot 15 min walk out of town. There are a few cafe/restaurants close by. Accommodation was comfy and host was supper helpful.

The property is significantly different from what is shown in the pictures on the website. There is a persistent bad smell coming from the bathroom, and more critically, the place is extremely unhygienic. It appears that the rooms are not cleaned between bookings. We booked both chalets. In one, there was no duvet cover, while in the other, the duvet cover was unwashed and visibly dirty. One pillow had no cover, and the cover on the other pillow was torn and unclean. There is no responsible person present on-site at night. Although the owner claims to be available by phone, it took over 20 calls before he answered. He promised to come and replace the pillow and duvet cover but never showed up. We thought he would at least apologize the following day, but he acted like nothing happened. Absolutely unprofessional and disgusting!!! Additionally, the stairs lack a handrail, making them hazardous, especially for elderly guests and children. Overall, both the property and the management need serious attention and substantial improvement if they wish to continue operating in the hospitality industry.

The mountain view and the spacious balcony (privacy will be a concern unless you book both chalets as the balcony is shared). The owner is a nice gentleman to talk to though lack in professionalism.

I was here with three other friends of mine. We were able to stay really free. Because they treated us like friends. The food was also delicious. I'll definitely choose this place if I plan to visit this area again. I thank them again for the way they treated us.
