High in the hills where the green whispers sing, above Ella town where the cool breezes cling, Lies Talanta Ella, a secret retreat, where sky, rock, and forest in harmony meet. Climb the steep staircase and rise to your room, with a yellow floor glowing, dispelling all gloom. Through windows of glass, the wide world unfolds, a deck in the treetops, a view to behold. Your treehouse of peace, where the canopies sway, frames Ella Rock bathed in the bright light of day. Little Adam’s Peak greets the dawn with a smile, a waterfall murmurs its song all the while. The famous railway below hums a rhythm of time, ten trains in their journey, their whistles a chime. Just minutes away, Ella’s heartbeat is found, shops, cafés, and laughter, a lively surround. Breakfast awaits: string hoppers and spice, sweet coconut pancakes, a feast to entice. Fresh fruit for the morning, eggs fried with care, tea rich and fragrant, joy served everywhere. Here silence is golden, yet filled with the song, of birds in the branches that carry along. To sit in the treetops, so peaceful, so free, Talanta Ella—forever to be.

It’s located in a calm, peaceful, and lush part of Ella. The view from the balcony is stunning. The vibes are super relaxing and the owners are very kind and welcoming. The breakfast is generous (as is the dinner, which we recommend). We had everything vegetarian, the breakfast is veggy anyway.

The fan made funny noises sometimes so we had to turn it off. It was still fine to sleep.

The hosts are very nice, the view is amazing, 5 minutes walk to the center of town by the train track

Use the railway to get to the property otherwise a walk up a very steep hill past the waste facility

I can only recommend to stay with this Host. The room has a great view and is very clean and comfortable, if you want a place to be at peace this is perfect. The Breakfast is amazing and the Host is super friendly and accommodating. 5*

The room is simple but very clean and comfortable. The views from the terrace are stunning! The family who owns this place is incredibly kind and welcoming. They helped us carry our luggage to the room and back down to our car, and they even got up at 4:00 AM to say goodbye and assist us again. You’ll need a car or a tuk-tuk to get there, as it's a little too far to walk from town and the road is steep. But the view is worth it, and I would gladly stay here again.

Lovely couple will be hosting you, large and delicious breakfast spread (she is an excellent cook and I loved her curry, sambol, dhal, and roti) there is a beautiful view right from your private balcony, spacious clean room and bathroom, quick walk to town if you use the train tracks shortcut

I think they should change the light of their washroom.

The apartment is in a fantastic location, high up some quite twisty roads but the views are stunning! From the balcony you can see Little Rawana Ella Waterfall, Ella Rock, Ella Gap and Little Adam's Peak. From the clear glass sliding doors in the mornings you can see abundant bird life in the surrounding trees. Spacious apartment and large bathroom with hot shower. Great WiFi; away from all the noise and partying of central Ella. Breakfast is amazing and very generous and the hostess makes the best coconut sambal that we have had so far in Sri Lanka. Hosted are wonderful, friendly, caring people.

Amazing place with the nicest family who runs it! The breakfast was one of the best in our trip to Sri Lanka. We loved the location as well, very quiet but still close to everything. Very clean and cozy room, and comfy bed! Warm shower, and the view is fantastic. Thank you so much for taking such good care of us! 🫶

Talanta Ella offers a spectacular view over Ella and a great breakfast. The room is clean and spacious. We were able to walk to the town center and the railway station easily. We even walked all the way to Little Adams Peak just to avoid the high tuktuk prices in Ella ;)

The room got a bit cold at night and the one Blanket was just enough

It was not staff but “family”. They took me to Ella Rock with whole family and friends just walking Tran track from their door. The views are stunning, you get to see Ella’s rock and a waterfall from your balcony. The place is clean, decorated with nice taste, hit water shower, comfortable bed. The host cooks deliciously, breakfast and curries all delicious. I couldn’t give them a better rating. They really care. Grandpa, 74, will take you anywhere in their Tuk Tuk and Viraj, older son, actually climbed with me the little Adam’s peak and took me to the other peaks a bit more fun to climb. Even the fact that their entrance was a bit out of the way was not a problem, cause you get to ride the Tuk Tuk with grandpa. What a gracious lovely family. Please stay away from hotels in Ella center if you’d like some peace, it was holiday season, the streets had more tragic than Manhattan. Please ask host for real location google map shows it somewhere else.
