The service was not as expected on the first day but the staff managed to turn it around once the Owner got in touch with them after I raised the issue.

Just fabulous place in every since - nature in the back-yard. Calm and peaceful area to spend few days in. The area have some good food options in walking distance. The beach is 20 min on foot but it’s one of the good ones to spend the day in. We went out for canoeing with the caretaker of the place (Dilhan). It was super cool that he was so service minded and even went with him to watch turtle at the night when they came in for laying eggs. A good surprise for us / and we loved the design and the thinking of containers in the place. For transport - please contact the owner Kasun. He has a good team in place to get you down to Tangalle and back to Colombo/ Airport.

We had a wonderful time at the Box House. The staff was really helpful with everything and quickly attended to our needs. The food was delicious. The rooms were clean and spacious. The environment was quiet and it was perfect for a relaxing family getaway.

Some of the fixtures and fittings need replacing - taps, the outdoor furniture covers, lights but it is all minor in the scheme of things. I wish there were more two sun beds and they had lounger pads on.

The property is a design delight - really stunning but it is a little tired and could do with a slight bit of refreshing. The people working there were amazing and could not do enough to ensure the property was clean, you had everything you needed and provided fabulous food. The pool is amazing - really good size.

The villa was spotlessly clean and clearly well looked after. The staff were always on hand and really helpful. It was just a gorgeous place to chill and only a 10 / 15 minute walk to the beach, passing lovely people on the way and sometimes monkeys. We would definitely stay again!

We had a great time at the box house. Nice villa and pool and we enjoyed the food they cooked for us... the personal was always available and did everything that you can feel us at home. we recommend this place for sure... for families or group of friends.

All floor lamps and some ceiling lamps in the living room do not work, so the lighting is dim and uncomfortable.

A great place to chill with family and friends. The beds are comfortable, the facilities are tidy and clean, and the staff is friendly and knows what to do and how to treat guests well. I would especially like to mention a good set of dishes for serving the table.

What a fantastic place! Everything looked like in the pictures. We had a remarkable time just hanging out at the pole and enjoying the food that Dilhan and his team where preparing. The space was spotlessly clean and the design of the place is very tasteful. We slept very well in our comfortable beds.

The staff weren’t very friendly and the breakfast wasn’t great at all and very limited amount of food was placed on the table even when there were less ppl accommodating the property.

The property is very tired and needs some maintenance (leaking A/C, smell of humidity, broken blinds etc. No washing machine as announced nor any housekeeping in the rooms during our stay.
