United KingdomIt felt like the room should not have given out to paying customers. I’ve stayed here before and had no issues, but this time there was locums banging and drilling from 10pm till after midnight, so it was impossible to sleep. Also the shower nozzle holder was broken, so you had to hold the shower head in your hand, which was inconvenient, as I have a shoulder issue so I cannot lift my arm,l. I expected better from this hotel.
Location next to train station, which is very convenient. Clean, fresh towels provided. Air conditioning was good.

SpainThe beds in both of our rooms had mattresses, way past their better days. The springs were trying to escape.
The location is really good, particularly if you are using the train station. It's only about 10 mins by Tuk Tuk to any of the attractions. The room was clean but our A/C was faulty and wouldn't switch off. They let us switch rooms, which helped. We could not fault the staff, they were very helpful. The breakfast was really good, with huge variety, as well as fresh cooked omelettes and sweet fresh dosas.

For the type of hotel it is, The Valampuri offers really good value for money and we had a lovely time there.

MalaysiaCockroaches in the room. When i complained the 1st time, they gave us a repellent, instead of changing our rooms. Had another scare at 3am, but I figured I'd wait till morning. Since we had a full itinerary, we decided to come back to the hotel afterwards and get the room changed. It was changed but after much deliberation from the hotel. If this was anywhere else, i would have gotten a room change immediately.

AustraliaThe bed was hard as a rock and was very hard to sleep. The fridge didn't work properly (only the small freezer part got cold), and it was only on when you are in the room so can't come back to cold drinks after a full day in the heat.
Close to the station and only a short walk in to town, is well located. They put on a good breakfast buffet that has many vegan options.

MalaysiaI reckon there are 2 buildings for this hotel. Initially, was given a room, which did not seem AT ALL as the pics in the ads. Went back to reception and upon showing the pics, was provided similar room as per the pics. I appreciate the fact that the room was changed, but it would have been better if a proper room was assigned in the first place.
Nothing wow, but would have rated higher if the actual room (as per pics) were provided when I first checked in.
