there is no dinner option but prosper can arrange delivery (600or800 rupees extra) but there is options in town if you want to eat before coming to the homestay in the middle of the tea plantations.

right on the pekoetrail for an easy start in the morning. Prosper the owner is a fellow trecker/fan of nepal so we spent the majority of the evening talking about trecking and other things. felt like I was couchsurfing even though it's on booking.

When hiking the Pekoe Trail we stayed here for a night, and what a nice house in a beautiful spot it is! Perfectly located on the trail, high up to catch the views, and a little distance away from town which is no issue at all, as a short tuktuk ride will get you to dinner quick. Host Prosper is intelligent and fun, we loved his company, and he knows to give you space and privacy too. If you like he can whip up some breakfast for a small fee too. A bright and cheerful homestay, I reckon all fellow Pekoe walkers should stop by here for a memorable stay. We more then enjoyed it

Prosper the owner really makes his guests feel at home, treated us like his own family. Hospitality at its best! A minimalist family room, sparkling clean & huge for our family with super comfortable beds. The View at Glenloch-Homestay truly lives up to its name! Fantastic experience staying with Prosper for a night. He went above and beyond as a host - cooked me an early breakfast, arranged for dinner to be delivered, and even spent time cleaning and dressing my leech bites! Highly recommend for anybody planning on stopping during the Pekoe trail.

We liked everything.

Located perfectly along the Pekoe trail and near the Glenoch tea factory, beautifully designed with an outstanding view, and more than comfortable accommodation- but the highlight of this stay is Prosper, the owner. I liken him to the grandpa of the Pekoe trail - a man of vast experience, childlike wonder, kindness, and just a person with a pure heart. Stay here and meet a wonderful example of a human being.

It was spacious, comfortable and located right by the Pekoe Trail. The bed linens, towels and shower ( hot water!) were of excellent quality. Best of all, Prosper is a kind host who took great care of us when we arrived wet off the trail and with many bleeding leech wounds. He was a nurse and cleaned, bandaged and applied ointment. Absolutely incredible stay! If you’re staying in the area this place is a must! On arrival I had tea and biscuits, then they were keen to wash my clothes for me (free of charge!) Mr Prosper the host is an amazing gentleman. We sat and chatted for hours , whilst looking out at the incredible view from his home. If you want to feel really welcome and cared for, this is the place to stay for few dayes! 😍 Such a beautifull spot in the middle of the mountains right on Pekoe trail, the house is nicely designed full of light and the view is truly remarcable. Just having tea in the morning and see the fog sitting on the hills is experience by itself. The owner and the lady who works here are super ephatic and good hearted, genuinely interested about your needs. They made me feel like visiting family in here. The owner also speaks very good english and he is super intelignet, I loved the conversationes with him. The best place I have been to in Sri Lanka mountains so far. ❤️

Mr Bemunuge is the sweetest! This felt very much like a home stay, we enjoyed his and Subha's company. They were so warm and hospitable; it felt like we were staying with relatives! The rooms are spacious, clean and very comfortable. It has just enough amenities needed - not too cluttered. We didn't have our meals there as we were always on the road, but we had the best sleep! We will definitely be back.

The owner, Prosper, is such a kind and gentle soul who went above and beyond to make us feel at home. He even helped us arrange a takeaway lunch at a nearby restaurant for the next day’s hike, which was such a thoughtful touch. Location-wise, the views are great. There’s a terrace at the top where you can see the reservoir below—absolutely stunning! The beds were incredibly comfortable, and the hot water was such a blessing after a long day hiking the Pekoe Trail. We spent the evening chatting, sharing stories, and bonding like family. We came as strangers and left feeling like we had a new brother in Prosper. Don’t miss out on this gem of a place. We will definitely be back!

The living space and view is incredible. Room is spacious and equipped with everything you could need. Food is great. Host was kind, welcoming and generous. The washing machine was broken so he hand washed my laundry for me. Right on the Pekoe Trail so ideal for access to walking trails.

This accommodation was one of the best decisions of our stay in Sri Lanka. The view from the accommodation is fantastic, and the host is a wonderful, broad-minded old man with whom it was a pleasure to spend time and talk. We became richer because of him, as we received a lot of knowledge from him. He helped us get to a waterfall, arranged dinner for us. He was incredibly kind and helpful. He and her brother too. I can only recommend accommodation!!

I had a fantastic stay at the View at Glenloch, my favourite in Sri Lanka. The location is perfect if you are hiking on the Pekoe Trail (just off the end of stage 3). Prosper was an excellent host with great stories and advice. He offered a good cup of tea whenever I wanted one and made me breakfast in the morning. For dinner, he arranged for food to be brought to the house from a local restaurant, excellent fried rice! The room and bathroom was clean and comfortable. Overall, I couldn't be more happy with my stay. I hope I can return some day.

Beautiful sunset view and an extremely friendly host. He was able to help us order in food because we didn’t want to go out after a long day of driving. Our favorite homestay in Sri Lanka without a doubt. We spent four perfect nights at Prosper’s house, it is clean, well equipped, great breakfasts and dinners, spectacular views and great evening conversations, good starting point for Pekoe Trail Stage 3… but most importantly, amazing people ❤️ we will miss you Prosper, Suba and Blackie!
