No hot water.

The staff were very helpfull and helped us with a tuk-tuk to the Elephant rock and to arrange surf lesions. Very clean. Very close to the Beach and the main Road with restaurants and bars. Would recommend for everyone to go there!

Came for a few nights… stayed for the vibe. Planned to stay 2–3 nights, ended up staying over a week! Cozy privacy curtains, a bonus kitchen, and a relaxing upstairs space for chilling or yoga. But the highlight? The owner. Always helpful, arranged my transport, and even walked with me personally. A big, kind teddy bear who works so hard and truly deserves all the love!

Pity the window of the room was sealed.

The hostel is new and very clean. Our room and toilet were spacious and the bed comfy. The location was great (in front of the beach and next to the main clubbing spot) and the owner was extremely kind. He took care of organising the safari, surf lessons and transfer to Hiriketiya. No social activities were planned but the space makes it very easy to meet other travellers. Definitely best stay of our trip in Sri Lanka. Good luck Rinas :)

There is absolutly nothing to say

Rinas is the perfect Host. He took so good care of us and all the other guests. With his friendly, kind and funny personality he did an absolut brilliant job. The Stay was extremly clean and tidy. Never in my life have u seen such a clean hostel kitchen. The beds were really confortable. The Staff helped us organise a lot of things. We went to safari and surfing. Even saw the leopards! He organised everything and it went perfect and the price was fair. The people he works together do a very good job. He knows the area and the diverent companys and choses the best of them. Also the laundry service was nice. The hostel was social and it was easy to meet new people. Its suited quiet and still very central. I would totally recommend this hostel - i travelled thorugh diverent countrys and this hostel was by far the best. We planned to stay 2 nights and stayed 6 in the end🤗🤗

I had a very nice stay in the wave hostel. It is still new and very modern and clean thanks to the staff that is always cleaning. The location is perfect! A few minutes from the beach and surrounded by loads of bars and restaurants. The best thing about the accommodation was the hospitality of the owner, who made me feel very welcome, was helpful and very generous. I would come again anytime!

I had an amazing stay at The Wave Hostel! The owner, Rinas, is incredibly kind and helpful, always there when I needed anything. I had the chance to try both the private room and the dorm. The private room was spotless, super comfortable, and had everything I could wish for. The dorm was also great, comfy beds with curtains for privacy, personal lights, and a relaxed vibe. The location is perfect too, close to everything but still peaceful. Highly recommend this place if you’re staying in Arugam Bay!

We loved our stay here. Walking distance to everything you need, and very clean. Rinas was a wonderful host and always responded quickly to our messages. He also helped us book a beginners surf class which was so much fun.

I have take the dorm rooms and it was clean and comfortable but one thing I don’t like is that there is no window in the room. So you have to turn on the light all the time

The room was rather small but it was cozy enough for a few days for us as couple with lots of luggage and 3 surfboards. The room has an AC which is a big plus and kind of necessary in condensed area where the hostel is located. The mattress is nice and firm, I had a good sleep on it. There's hostel facilities you can use, like the kitchen and rooftop to hang out. There's free filtered water so you can refill your bottle any time of the day. The fact that this is a hostel means that the vibe is great and you will meet a lot of cool people. Being right in the center of town, the location is super convenient but that means it can get noisy at times. We used earplugs and were fine. The owner is super nice and always there to help. Overall a great value for the price

The WiFi was temperamental but we know it was a working progress seeing as the hostel was so new

I had the best trip ever! I was meant I stay for 2 nights and kept on extending it and extending it until I stayed for 9 nights, Rinas the owner is lovely and helpful and took us for a tour of arugam bay one evening and was always there to greet us with a smile, definitely one of the cleanest hostels I’ve stayed in thank you!
