Absolutely stunning property, with amazing views over the cinnamon and green forests. Rooms are able to be fully opened nature. Delicious food and staff were ao lovely and accomodating, wish we could have stayed longer!

I don’t think there’s anything we didn’t like. One thing I would say would be really nice to have in the room is a coffee machine / kettle, a mini bar and black out blinds. But all of the amenities were available in the lobby anyways and the staff are very accommodating. Heads up, the building construction is almost entirely in wood, which means that during the rain storms, it gets loud and intense, but it’s also a huge part of the experience of being so immersed in nature. This is all nitpicking, we will definitely be back here again.

This is a very special place. I don’t think the photos would ever do it justice. There’s a sense of serenity and calm that takes over you as soon as you arrive. The architecture is a work of art, everything from the decor to the landscape design to the gorgeous art collection, is absolutely perfect. It feels like you’re in a remote wellness retreat, but in reality you’re only 10-15 min from the beach and the Main Street with lots of cafes and stores. The food, cooked fresh daily on demand with fresh ingredients, was exquisite. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We were here during off season and were so lucky to be the only guests on the property, so it really felt very very special.

This hotel is so amazing, its built beautifully and is one of a kind. You're right up on the hill and its very peaceful and quiet, feels like you're at your own little excluded hideaway. The staff are fantastic, everyone is so helpful and the food is 10 out of 10. Try the Crispy Barramundi, yum!

The staff are amazing. The resort is exceptional. The remoteness is idillic. The infinity pool with the view overlooking the cinnamon plantation is beautiful. The food was outstanding. We were very lucky to experience first hand how cinnamon is produced from this plantation. The structure of the property is very unique, they used all natural resources that are locally available. You really feel like you can switch off from the outside world, however, wifi is available!

We wish we could have stayed longer!

Everything - staying here was living in paradise. - Only a 10 min tuktuk ride to the town. It was far enough to get the tranquility and quiet I wanted, but close enough that I could get an iced coffee and return with it still icy. - The views! Sunrise, sunset, stars at night. Beautiful jungle and rice paddies. Excellent bird-watching. - The property was beautifully designed and the furniture well-crafted. Read more about this on their social media and website. - The team were friendly, accommodating, kind and efficient. The service was excellent and anything we asked for executed to a high quality. - The on-site dining was beyond wonderful. I regret not asking to observe the kitchen one meal! Perhaps a chef's table experience may be something they could consider offering in the future... - The owners were very interesting and a delight to talk to. - The pool was the perfect temperature and length. It was very usable and we spent many an hour enjoying the sun and water. - The garden walk was good fun to spot some wildlife and learn a bit more about local flora. There are plenty of birds and if you're curious, there's a bird watching book in the lounge. - The lounge was a beautiful airy gathering space. I like the stereo system and small library of literature about Sri Lanka. If only I had read some of the books before visiting! Really piqued my interest to learn more. I'm sure there is so much more, but for now this is all I can think of writing.

From the lovely staff who ensure everything is perfect to the beautiful, state-of-the-art house that feels you’re in another world, it’s truly unforgettable. Surrounded by the sounds of birds and nature, this is the ultimate retreat to disconnect and recharge while in Sri Lanka. There is nothing. Rooms amazing, food amazing - everything, amazing!

This is one of the most beautiful places we have ever stayed at. Everywhere you look is absolutely breathtaking. The people who work there are just lovely and make you feel very welcome and well taken care of. I didn’t want to leave the property but Ahangama is amazing and you should be explored. All in all - wonderful stay and I would go back in a second!

This hotel truly stands out with its unique architecture—something I’ve never seen before in any other hotel. For those who appreciate exceptional design and hospitality aesthetics, this is undoubtedly one of the best options. The swimming pool area is absolutely stunning, easily one of the most beautiful pools I’ve ever seen. The design throughout the property is simply incredible, and the staff were some of the most attentive I’ve encountered during my travels. The food was also very good, although the menu could benefit from offering a few more options.

Located on a 12 acre cinnamon plantation, Trebartha is Beautifully designed, every detail well thought out. It was such a beautiful experience in Ahangama that was away from the beach. Kasun and the team were super helpful and warm ❤️all the srilankan food was nothing short of AMAZING! We will definitely revisit! ❤️
