Great staff, visited for second time in 2 years, super friendly people, Kottu is delicious, they're building new rooms which are very comfortable, location is great - walking distance to Adam's peak entrance.

Came to climb Sri Pada/adams peak. Upon arrival i was greated with a cup of tea and warm smiles. I was very happy with my stay, I felt comfortable and welcomed. I climbed Sri Pada in the off season, and I will definitely be staying again so I climb during the on season! Thank you so much for welcoming me to your home.

We only stayed one night to allow us to climb Adam's Peak for sunrise and it was a lovely experience to sleep alongside the sound of the river. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and the on-site restaurant offers great dinner (even if you arrive later!).

Everything was great.

Beautiful setting overlooking the river, and with a wonderful view of Sri Pada. The staff were super friendly and helpful, and let us come back and shower after our hike up the mountain. Room was basic, but cosy and clean. Perfect for a one night stay to do the hike.

Location is perfect - short walk to the start of the Adam‘s Peak hike. I found the room to be very quiet and peaceful with a very comfortable bed. It was pretty basic (no tv, no kettle, no chair) but I was only there for the climb so I didn‘t spent much time there. Bathroom had a very modern shower and enough hot water. I could here the little stream outside which was beautiful and calming. I didn’t hear any street noise. The hosts were welcoming and friendly. I had dinner and breakfast at the hotel which I both enjoyed. The bathroom was a bit smelly when I got there but the smell disappeared over night. There were some minor electrical problems with the room light flickering quite a bit. Wifi is only available in the main area, does not extend to the room.

The accommodation Waterside Residence was in an excellent location to start a hike to Adam’s Peak. The rooms were spacious, comfortable, and cozy, offering a beautiful view of a river and the surrounding nature. However, in the evening and at night, there was a slight odor coming from the bathroom drain, which could be improved. Apart from that, it was a perfect value for money.

Cozy cabin beside the river. We stayed in the most crowded time in the year for the Adan’s Peak pilgrimage and and couldn’t hear a single noise from the cabin terrace, only the water flowing. The staff is warm and very friendly. Super

This was our first hotel in Sri Lanka and we were happy with it. You can start directly from the hotel to get to Adam’s peak. We left at 01:45 FYI. The room had a great view on the valley. The restaurant offers nice eat in options at reasonable prices.

We had a wonderful time at Water Side Residence. The host was incredibly friendly, helpful, and attentive – we felt welcome from the very first moment. He provided us with valuable tips and assisted us with everything we needed. The price-performance ratio is excellent, and the rooms are clean and cozy.

The road from Colombo took 6,5 hours by car but it was totally worth it!

Good value for the money! We just needed a place to sleep few hours since we started to walk to Adam’s peak at 2am. Very simple room with a good price. Good food, location and friendly host.

I thought the food was a bit expensive.

Friendly and helpful owners who were able to answer any questions about the area and Adam’s Peak Large and comfortable room with great view, fantastic location for Adam’s Peak hike. Had the best veg curry, coconut rotti, dahl and coconut sambol of our entire trip from the restaurant attached.

Adams Peak was too crowded (it was a Sunday) so we don't know if we would do it again.

Best room so far we had in Sri Lanka. Everything was very clean and the location was great. We were sad we had to leave after one night. Room looks better live than on the pictures. Location was great, very close to the entrance for Adams Peak (5min walk). The food was also really good. Everything was prepared fresh, so be patient while waiting🙏🏽 Hosts were very helpful and friendly.

Breakfast was okay but we went to other places to eat

Location is great. Very close to Adam’s peak and near the river. The host organized a transfer to the train station and gave us information about the schedule.
