Excellent property with great staff like Prasad and Angelo , not forgetting many others especially the friendly kitchen crew . The chef and the second in charge . Food was fantastic especially the nightly buffet we had . Kudos to a great team and hotel. Looking forward to be back

Staff would benefit from training on understanding and addressing ethnicity biases. The manager’s approach came across as quite rude, and the treatment given to guests seemed noticeably poorer depending on whether they were local or of Indian origin. Additionally, there was no à la carte option for dinner — the buffet appeared to be catered mainly for Western guests, which felt limiting and exclusionary.

Proximity to the safari, rooms and facilities were good.

May have been a new opening for the restaurant , service was not attentive , and food was warm at best . Like I say , this could have been because it is newly opened . On the whole a lovely place to stay and really close for the safari trips

When we first arrived the staff wasn't great, one of the staff members came across rude (we thought it was the manager). Not very helpful, we had already reserved two safari's but they hadn't registered it. In the evening they had a buffet, which was really not good, blend, rice that was labeled as vegetarian but had chicken in it and quite expensive for what it was (6000 on discount for two people). In the morning they had packed breakfast, which was suffient but not great. The pool had stairs leading nowhere, and nails were sticking out of the decking around the pool as it had sunk.

The location was great, next to a lake. Although the staff said we couldn't go to the lake, we asked someone else and there is a nice path next to the lake. The pool was nice and the place was comfortable. There was one staff member who was very sweet and helpful.

The dinner buffet was similar every night, with only small variations. I paid for an upgrade via Booking but did not get the largest room, which was given to someone else earlier in the day - this is not the hotels fault as they only have 2 types of rooms and this site presents many more options.

Very nice rooms with a cozy atmosphere. My room had a soaking tub with views of the lake. The air conditioning and water pressure were both strong. The pool was perfect for cooling off during the very hot days. The restaurant was a nice modern change from the rest of our travels. Glass on 3 sides with high ceilings, diverse menu with east Asian options, as well as sandwiches, burgers and local classics. Super close to Wilpattu park entrance as well. We had the hotel organize our safari jeep for the following day and our driver was very kind, skilled, and had a good demeanor. The hotel organizes packed breakfast and lunch for your safari day as well.

Not much amenities or things to do nearby.

Location was surrounded with nature and rooftop area was great. Bathroom was exceptional and room was clean. Balcony could use some attention but was spacious. Food took a while but was delicious.

The staff were extremely helpful and super nice. Any issues or help needed was sorted by them without any delay. The Pool and garden area was nice and relaxing, the view was also great. Shout out to Deneth, who was always there to help and going out of his way to make our stay a pleasant one. The food was always great, I recommend people to go for the sri lankan food, cause that is their specialty.

The hotel doesn’t seem to be surrounded by many other restaurants or attractions. Purely for safari connections only but well worth a couple of days to do this and rest.

Efficiently run boutique hotel, beautiful grounds with amazing views. We were booked onto a standard double, and had issues with noise from other guests so we were kindly given an upgrade to a higher room with no issue whatsoever. Organised our safari to Wilpattu, fantastic service and quick response times. We also had to visit a hospital whilst there due to a previous injury, the staff organised transport and made sure we got what we needed.

The aircon was very noisy and made it difficult to sleep.

The staff was amazing and friendly. The rooms were big and comfortable. The location was fantastic and very near to the safari. We got the jeep from the hotel itself and made the safari journey convenient.

There is about of mismatch between the level of rooms and place and the restaurant - the food. A bit disappointing .

The only negative was that we had no wifi in our room or the restaurant. But we would definitely go again!

The resort is a great place to stay when you are in Wilpattu. The rooms are really nice, clean and we had an amazing view over the nature at the back of the hotel. The pool and garden look magnificent! We had dinner three times in the restaurant of the hotel, which was good and for a relatively good price. The personnel is also very friendly.

Limited choice in food and no alcohol served

Very close to the Wilpattu National park, the resort is an ideal location to stay the night. With a nice swimming pool it also gives some refreshment after a long warm day. The view from the 3rd view is also magnificent

The staff is clearly not (well) trained, which is really a pity, because with good staff this could be an excellent hotel. The English of the staff members is VERY basic and they’re definitely not used yet to foreseeing riders etc at the swimming pool.

The location near to the entrance is fantastic if you want to go on safari, if that’s not your thing, there’s no place for you to stay here. The rooms are also very spacious and with a very comfortable bed.

I didn't like initially being told that check out was at 10 as most hotels are at noon and we only arrived at 6. But the manager was accommodating and let us checkout at noon. The Buffet was good but most of the food was a bit cold, it would be better if the food would be prepared closer to the time it was being served.

I think the hotel has a lot of potential to become a very good hotel, however at the moment it is not a perfect hotel because of many different things. However the manager just changed after we arrived, so I hope they will continue to work on themselves! - The staff is very friendly but they don’t seem to be schooled enough for tourists. For example: No one was at the reception when we entered and during our whole stay, the reception was never occupied - The pool needs sun umbrella, because there is not a lot of shade - The staff made a fire and burned waste. I asked them about it and they extinguished it. However at the next day, they did the same - During our 3- nights stay, they never cleaned our room, however they gave us new water bottles - The staff did not clean around the pool or take used towels after using. They were laying there even the next morning still - The hotel has a rooftop, but is not using it. Instead they use a restaurant with a street view - The food inside the restaurant is not bad, but not very good either, however it is kind of expensive compared to typical Sri-Lankan prices. As there is not much around we stayed to eat there, but just because we had not much other options. The breakfast they gave us for the safari had sandwiches which were not good at all

The room was really nice and had a great view outside. The manager was getting us a sun umbrella because there was none, which was very courteous. All the personal was very friendly towards us.
