How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Verified reviewThe hotel is well located with secure but limited barrier controlled parking. The hotel is within walking distance of many local attractions and very well located for the bus stops. The rooms were clean and very very brightly decorated.
The rooms did feel very space and the decor was incredibly bright. There was no water in the rooms despite the listing saying there is, the only bottled water was expensive for a tiny bottle from the bar. No on site food but lots of options close by. There is a tiny pizza place right outside the restaurant, mama pizza I think, it is a gem.

Booked two rooms for 5 people (3 adults, 2 kids) to find that both rooms only had a double bed in each. When asked at the reception I was told there was nothing they could do because the system allows to book a room for up to 4 people but they didn't offer additional beds or room upgrades. No larger rooms were available and we had to pay for a separate additional room so we can all have a bed to sleep in. I'm not sure if it's the hotel or booking.com error but if we knew that was the arrangement we would have booked elsewhere. The hotel rooms don't have kettles in the rooms to make a coffee or a tea. Coffee can be purchased at the bar unless you pay for the breakfast which includes hot beverages.

Verified reviewHotel had a great location, easy accessibility. There was a parking, but pretty small so make sure to arrive early if you want to leave your car next to the hotel! ( parking cost was 14€ for a day) Breakfast was good, a lot of food to choose from.

Verified reviewVery good hotel located opposite the Bus Station in Kaunas and a 10-15 minute walk from the town centre. My room had a decent size and the breakfast buffet was large, varied and good. The hotel has parking (payable) in the yard which was very convenient for me.

Verified reviewThe location of the hotel was really good - it was a walking distance from the Akropolis mall and also from Laisvės Alėja, so no complaints there. The room was cool - basketball themed, but for us, the pillows were a bit small and uncomfortable, but that's just our preference. The check-in receptionist was really friendly, and clearly explained the parking situation to us.
However, the room didn't seemed to be fully cleaned. We had cobweb/dust in the corner ceiling of our room, near the windows. In addition to this, the shampoo/shower gel dispenser was empty when we arrived and hadn't been filled. The floors also seemed like they weren't properly cleaned - our white socks got dirty really quickly. As for the breakfast, it was nothing special. We got there at around 9:30 and most of the food was on the colder side already.

Verified reviewThe location was very close to the city center and shopping mall (just a 10 minute walk). The car park was easy to access. The beds were comfortable.
Only one towel per person, not even a hand towel for the bathroom. The police of not having the room cleaned until the 4th day, unless requested. The TV didn't work properly.

A lot of dust on tea tray, cups and kettle, only 3 towels for 3 people (no bath/hand towels separate), shower gel is men style one, smells strong, NO dinners or suppers (staff told us its ONLY available for groups, not sure why hungry family is not a group). So we went to town to find a food. At breakfast time we came at 7.30 and cannt find fried eggs (all gone), asked staff if they can bring more and staff told us in a bit rude tone that cooks would not cook more and we need to get a scrambled ones. A bit of a shock that at 7.30 they has no a basic food left and telling people they would no cook any more.
