Nice hotel in the middle of the small town of Esch-sur-Sure. The rooms are good and the restaurant in the hotel is good. Breakfast was good, as can be expected for this type of hotel. We had a walk around town. Everything is in walking distance. We only stayed one night, passing by. It looks like a good place to use as a basis to explore the area.

I wasn't aware how some rooms were not in the main building when booking on booking.com. I imagine that might have been clear on the hotel's website but it wasn't using the booking app.

This is an unusual hotel with multiple rooms spread around different sites (some away from the restaurant and office) on the top of a hill surrounded by a bend of the Sûre. It has lots of character but is very clean and comfy. The restaurant and bar are excellent. We had a couples room with a jacuzzi tub and a view onto the square in front of the hotel. It has a nice terrace for drinks. The staff were outstanding too--my wife was reluctant to take the room we originally reserved, which was up more stairs away in a separate building, but the staff found us an even more romantic room just steps form the bar and we thoroughly enjoyed it!

The access with a car is very narrow, and same about parking when it’s full. Lack of eggs in breakfast, only do it your self boiled eggs. Prices in hotel restaurant are very expensive for dinner, but there are not many other options in the area.

Hotel is pretty but room decoration is basic. Hamam shower in the room is fabulous. Not a cheap hotel but it’s good and comfortable.

Hotel de la Sure is nestled in a chocolate box village on the banks of a river with plenty of dog walks. The hotel rooms are dotted throughout the village which is peaceful and friendly

In our room wifi connection was not stable.

We asked for a quiet room and were offered a very quiet room, in another building near the main hotel building.

Service was not always great. Some staff were very nice while others less so. No coffee/tea station in room, despite it having a kitchenette. A few things weren't functioning properly in our room. Nothing essential though.

We got a free upgrade to a bigger room. The shower had a hammam function, which was really nice after a long hike. The hotel is nicely located for the hiking trails and close to a bus stop.

The rooms are actually not where the “hotel” or reception is, but down the road. The road in front of it is one of the three roads in this village that go up. There’s no place to park to load and unload luggage, especially when there’s a car behind you - the outside is on! Stairs are narrow, very hard to pull large luggage up and down the stairs.

We had to move to a more expensive room because we were travelling with our dog, and we had to pay for that upgrade. We would have preferred to have been informed about this in advance and not upon our arrival.

Room was up a steep hill at rear of hotel and then up two flights of stairs. Constantly disturbed by guests next door and they were only talking ( very thin walls) and I bathroom ceiling very low so difficult to use toilet. Paid the most for this hotel on our tour but not really worth it.

Often there was noone at the reception and that was a problem because I had to borrow towels and slippers from reception before the sauna closes. Also, when I wanted to give back the key of the elevator that leads to sauna, was the same problem. Noone at the reception. I asked other people who worked there to help me. Also, I was waiting for someone to appear at the reception when I wanted to check out. Finally the older lady came and waved me to go to restaurant with her to check-out there instead of at the reception. She seemed to be obviously annoyed by my presence or by being too busy.
