The location is amazing! The hosts are brilliant and make you feel at home! The room was spacious and had everything one needs! Lastly, the breakfast was great - a mix of cold and hot food to cater for all tastes!

Hard to find anything negative. One small suggestion: add a chair/bench inside the apartment (e.g., near the entrance) to make changing shoes more comfortable, and provide a spot for wet clothes and footwear in bad weather.

Welcoming, responsive staff. Breakfast is varied, with options to suit every taste. The apartment is relatively spacious, bright, and quiet, with a pleasant view. Excellent location: Turaida Castle and Gutmanis Cave are within walking distance.

...too soft bed for me, too much mirrors in design for me, no additional blanket and pillow un the room if its cold at night, there was not cookies, croasans, kellogs and musely at breakfast. Actually all of that wasnt issues, they (family business) are teaching fast - hotel is good, comfortable, small and new in the region.

We had a lovely stay at this family-run, simple but very nice hotel. The hostess made us feel very welcome and cozy. Our room was very spacious, comfortable bathroom, the place was quiet, surroundings - beautiful nature. While having a car is convenient, the city center is still within walking distance via a pleasant pedestrian/bicycle path that connects the hotel to the heart of town. All in all, it’s a great place to stay, and we sincerely thank the hostess for her warm and heartfelt hospitality. :)

While the guest house is 2 km outside town , it is very handy for Turaida castle, Krimulda castle and the cable car.

Very friendly staff and good location between town and the castle ruins. Rooms spacious. Big +++ for EV charging, which didn't cost much. Bang for the buck.

Lack of rubbish bin in the room, the table under TV was not clean, sofa could use some vacuuming. I also think that a little refrigerator could be integrated in the room.

Breakfast was very nice and fresh! I liked the nature, swings near the hotel and a clean and spacious bathroom. Terrace on the roof was also amazing. Night's sleep was peaceful.

ComplEtely new (July 2025) and renovated priva(e hotel, the very friendly landlord and landlady speak English and German are very helpful, breakfast possible on demand (10€).

The room did have blackout curtains, which we really appreciated, but one extra curtain wouldn’t hurt — especially for the L-shaped windows that cover almost two full walls. On one side, the curtains fully covered the windows, but on the other side (with only two curtains), light still came through. As we were traveling with small children, it was a bit challenging for them to fall asleep during the bright summer evening. Not a big issue, but something to consider for families.

We felt completely at home and well taken care of — the staff was amazing! The room was neat, spacious, and full of natural light. Breakfast was delicious with a good variety. Tea and coffee were accessible 24/7. We really appreciated the kids’ corner with toys, games, puzzles, and books. Adults could enjoy a game of billiards. The overall vibe was calm and welcoming.
