How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewAn unbelievable stay! Stunning sea views with the soothing sound of the waves, and such a cozy house. Tiff & Rabie are always ready to help you! Tiff makes the most delicious dishes EVER, along with amazing pastries and the best Moroccan mint tea. They are incredibly kind people who truly make you feel at home. For us, it was the perfect ending to our trip through Morocco before flying back from Tangier (very close to the airport). Such genuine and wonderful hosts, always happy for a chat, yet giving you the perfect balance of peace, relaxation and a warm family feeling. We absolutely loved it!🫶🏼🫶🏼 Thank you so much!

Verified reviewThe house, hand built by the owners, was beautiful..... It had an incredible, calm, and relaxed feel. The balcony at the front of the room was amazing with a hammock for relaxing and lounge for enjoying the delightful breakfast. I could imagine living there. I truly wish we could have stayed longer. The true gems, though, are the owners! Thank you so much xx

Verified reviewTiffini is charming and a great chef. We had a really good dinner and a very complete breakfast for 32€ (including 2 beers and 1bottle of water). Her guesthouse is absolutely lovely!!! The chill area of our bedroom and that tiny swimming pool have been a dream come true. I recommend this place for travelers with their own car although the guesthouse has taxi service.
The beach was farther away than I thought It was. The guesthouse is in an area with no services, restaurants and supermarkets by foot, just a little shop.

Verified reviewTiffani and Robbie are the kindest, warmest hosts I’ve ever met. From the moment I arrived, the place felt like home — so much so that I didn’t even feel like going out to explore Tangier. I just wanted to stay in and soak up the cozy, peaceful atmosphere. The home is beautifully done, super cozy, and full of warmth. Every time I stepped out into the city, I found myself looking forward to coming “home” again. The breakfasts were delicious, the drinks were lovely, and the views from the property are some of the best I’ve seen. I also really appreciated that it’s not crowded — it’s tucked in a quiet spot but still close to the city and just a short walk to the beach. It’s the perfect balance of calm and convenience. When I come back to Tangier, I’ll definitely stay here again — no question. Already counting the days until next time.

Verified reviewHajrienne Guesthouse in Tangier is nothing short of a dream stay—a true home away from home. The space is immaculately clean, wonderfully spacious, and perfectly located, making it an ideal retreat for relaxation and exploration alike. The addition of a swimming pool adds an extra touch of luxury, perfect for unwinding. What truly elevates the experience, though, is the warmth and hospitality of Rabie and Tiffini. They go above and beyond to ensure guests feel welcome and taken care of, assisting with transfers, printing boarding passes, and anything else that may be needed. Tiffini's culinary skills are fantastic — every meal is a delight, adding to the overall experience. If you’re looking for a stay that is both comfortable and memorable, Hajrienne Guesthouse is an absolute gem. Highly recommended!

Tiffany and Rabie are the best hosts and made our short stay really comfortable (they even made fresh ginger tea to take care of my sick stomach). The house is very nice and you'll feel right at home at this unique place. Best stay during the entire trip! Thanks Tiffany and Rabie!

The room was excellent and very authentic with a lovely private outdoor space with views of the sea. They offered us bicycles to explore free of charge and they also printed our boarding passes. Bella the dog was beautiful and super friendly! One of the best hotels we've stayed at and definitely the best value for money.

Verified reviewThis place is heaven on earth and the hosts are one of a kind (and I think this makes this place a heaven on earth!) Rabie and Tiffany made us feel like home since the first minute of our arrival. As we were at the beginning of a rally (Dakar Challenge, driving from Bucharest, Romania to Banjul, Gambia), they shared with us a lot of tips and tricks, including some car garage stuff where Rabie's input and assistance were so appreciated! Tiffany is the soul of this place, her kindness is out of this world. Oh, don't miss her cooking! The breakfast was delicious, the dinner as well - she also served us from the lunch she'd prepared for her family. What more could we say? The guesthouse is very beautiful, welcoming, cozy, traditional, well equipped. It was a bit cold in January, but the heater in the bedroom did its job. Rabie built it. This house is a jewell. After completing the challenge and having lots of accomodations along the way, this was our favourite one and that's due to Rabie and Tiffany. No matter how luxurious a place can be, the people complete the environment. Their family is amazing! (including the dogs! - loved them) Hope we'll stay again here in the future!
We would've stayed longer!
