Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomNothing!
I can totally recommend this Riad. From before my arrival and during my stay Hassan could not do enough to make sure that everything was ok. Nothing is too much trouble and he was able to book and change trips for me at short notice, arrange for extra days stay, and even did my washing for me. He and his wife Fatima as so welcoming and make you feel at home. The food is plentiful and good/ lots of choice for evening meal. Other guests were very friendly and there was a great relaxed vibe. The location as fabulous/ outside of the main village up a bit in to the mountains with great views across the valley and in the middle of village life. But as others have said it’s not very accessible to anyone with mobility problems . The rooms are comfortable and well equipped with loads of hot water and the living area and balcony great to chill out. Hassan arranged a great 7 day hike for me around the surrounding mountains and villages which was outstanding. He knows everyone and everyone knows him! I would like to especially thank my wonderful and long suffering guide and chef Omar and Rachid - two of the best guides ever. I was spoilt by them and treated to the best food of my whole trip. They made it special for me in a way I will remember for a long time.

CanadaFYI you have to drive up a fairly steep, narrow, cliffside road to get there. It is definitely doable, though a little nerve-wracking in a small 2WD vehicle. Maybe just plan to not drive it in the middle of the night after long travels! It's also easy to access by walking, just a bit of an elevation gain.. part of the experience and worth it for the location.
You won't find a more spectacular view of Imlil than from Amazigh Family Riad. Absolutely stunning. Similarly, Hassan is incredibly accommodating, responsive and helpful. We arrived in the middle of the night and he stayed up to welcome us. I was a little distraught and exhausted from the long drive and he related to me respectfully and with composure. He cares very much about his business and it shows. We will definitely be coming back next time through Imlil. His village is so peaceful, welcoming and serene. Also to note - we rely on working online and reviews pointed us to this Riad as the best location in Imlil for strong internet. We were able to successfully have video calls, though the connection was fairly unstable and we often completed meetings without video to avoid interruptions/lag. I still believe this is some of the best internet you'll find in Imlil, and this is just part of what you have to expect coming to a town high up in the Atlas Mountains. Worth it! But maybe book yourself some time off work if you're a remote worker.

CanadaIt was exceptional! I loved it all
I extended my stay by 4 days because my whole experience was outstanding. I was assisted right away with an amazing mule ride around the village, and two hikes up Toubkal. Hassan is very well connected and quickly organized anything I needed. I didn’t have time for my bike ride I wanted to take, but it was also available! Even my friend, a Moroccan tour guide, said he would stay there when he visits Imlil as he not only loved the facilities and the breathtaking view, but he was so impressed with Hassan. I wish I could have stayed longer! The entire family works there and it felt like home! Better than home, actually!

SpainThe mountain views from the Riad are spectacular. My room was spacious, very tastefully decorated and clean. The breakfast included in the price is very generous and filling - important if you're going trekking which most of the guests seem to be doing. The Riad is located quite high up, just above the town of Imlil, but within easy walking distance along a dirt path through the houses. I had dinner at the Riad every night of my stay too. Hassan is an excellent host, very attentive and happy to help with whatever the guests may need. I had a great time here - thoroughly recommended.

BelgiumNot easy to find the hotel. You have to ask friendly neighbourgs to find it. Part of the experiance.
Hospitality of the family who runs the hotel. With the father of the family I had a 7 day trekking in the high Atlas, sleeping everyday in different gites. Must do. Thanks to this training and acclimatisation to those altitudes I was able to climb the Jebel Tubkal. Best vacation ever.

FranceYou will love your stay at Amazigh Riad. The place is a little gem overlooking the village with a nice terrace, very clean and comfortable rooms and a cosy vibe. And his owner, Hassan, is simply the type of host you would want to meet during your traveling: attentive, kind, funny and extremely knowledgeable about the infinite options of exploring this beautiful region. From day walks to 7-8 days adventures, he'll support you in planning the best itinerary, choosing the most suitable guide and anything you need. Plus...food is amazing! I'd totally recommend this place and no doubt I'll come back soon

The location and views are breathtaking, and we loved having breakfast on the balcony overlooking the mountain! Do be aware if you have mobility issues the riad is up a steep slope, but well worth a visit!

United KingdomHassan was a very good host, and organised our hike up Mt Toubkal for a reasonable price. We weren't planning on doing it until we arrived in Imlil, put off by some of the prices you see online, knowing that they were a very big markup on what the guides would charge. The food was great, the beds were comfy, and the view of mountains from the building are amazing.

The exceptional hospitality and warmth of Hassan and his family made the stay very special! We felt welcomed into their home and the home-cooked food was delicious. The location of the property provided unbelievable views of the mountains. If the opportunity arose, we would visit again!

NetherlandsStaying at this family-run Amazigh riad in Imlil was an unforgettable experience. Nestled on a hillside across from the village center, the riad offers breathtaking sunny views of the Atlas Mountains. From the moment we arrived, we felt part of the family, welcomed with warmth and genuine hospitality. Life here moves at a peaceful, authentic pace. Living alongside the villagers and sharing moments with the family gave us a true sense of Amazigh culture. The riad itself is beautifully traditional, with cozy spaces to relax and take in the stunning surroundings. Be prepared for a real, off-the-beaten-path experience. Since the riad is on the hill, you’ll need a pickup upon arrival but the short journey is worth it. If you’re looking for authenticity, hospitality, and nature at its best, this is the perfect place to stay!
