Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

CanadaHearing that a " one-off" stinker review in these "rate-your-teacher-like" booking apps can imperil a hotels economic viability overnight.
Upon entering this charming hotel we were greeted by Mohamed and were immediately made to feel completely at home. His warmth and smile will remain etched in our memory from this short 2 day visit to a very special hotel. Les Amis sheds exceptional light on the quality of Berber hospitality and cultural refinement. It's super clean, secure and comfortable. Made this too short trip to the Anti-Atlas a stand out in our month-long swing through Morocco.

Basic but comfortable hotel in great location in centre of Tafraout, with nice breakfast on terrace overlooking main junction, great to warch early morning life go by. Single room was clean with comfortable bed. Hotel has nice berber decor and paintings. Friendly host. Overall great value for money. United StatesThis has nothing to do with the place in particular because various places around Morocco share this concept, but I really don't like when my shower is the same hose that could be the bidet above the toilet. Everything else was great
Extremely warm and inviting friendly staff. Breakfast is served on a beautiful terrace. I stayed here for two nights. The first was a friend's booking. Sameer was extremely accommodating by not having me change rooms when we went from three people to just me, despite my being in a three-person room alone. I was not feeling well and was able to stay cool and rest waking to feel better the next day and I really appreciate his mindfulness. I totally would stay here again.

AustriaLes Amis was perfectly located in town centre, with a nice balcony view. Room was simple and facilities were basic, but it was comfortable and perfect for us. Salem was exceptionally helpful, friendly and hospitable. He recommended us an excellent restaurant and organised a taxi to Ait Mansour for us. The breakfast was the best we’ve had so far in Morocco. Very good value for money. Highly recommend :)

BelgiumNice hotel, and very friendly to climbers who stay there to go climbing in Tafraout. Big Moroccan breakfast made and served by the welcoming host Khadijah makes it an even better stay.

United KingdomWe loved our stay here. There are many hotels in Tafraout but this is a proper family run place, authentic Berber hospitality. Loved having breakfast on the balcony, watching the to and fro of the main street below. This trip will stay in my heart.

United KingdomOnly a small issue, but the tap in the bathroom had a spout on the end, which caused the water to shoot out horizontally.
Hamid and Khadijah were excellent hosts, being both friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The breakfasts and dinners that they prepared were excellent and they made sure to check breakfast and dinner timings with us everyday. The hotel is situated right in the centre of town, with great access to nearby restaurants and shops. Overall, it was amazing value for money and we really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Les Amis.

AustriaIt is probably the best place to stay for backpackers and climbers. You are really in the center of Tafraoute and have everything you need available. You can walk to a lot of climbing spots around Tafraoute. Khadija made our stay even better with her amazing cooking skills and her kindness. We enjoyed her nice breakfast and dinner on the lovely terrace and drank the best orange juice I've ever had. :D I absolutely recommend going to the hamam with Khadija. You will see a traditional hamam. A nice experience. Notice for climbers: If you want to climb in the Ameln Valley or further away, I recommend you rent a car. It is really hard to get a taxi, and if you do, it is really expensive. Maybe ask Khadija; she knows a few private drivers. This is a little bit cheaper. :)

Our stay at Hotel Les Amis was amazing! The hotel owners were so helpful and welcoming. The breakfast here is the best in the town - especially the eggs! We felt like we were staying with old friends. I can highly recommend this hotel for value and experience.
