No information regarding reaching the camp is provided before booking.. It can be done on camel back (~ 1h) or 4x4 vehicle. It costs 200 MAD per person which is ok, but would be nice to find this information somewhere.

It was a dream spending the night in the camp and it actually feels luxurious! The room is great with all the necessary facilities, the staff are amazing and the food is the best! We arrived via camel ride through the sand dunes, stopped to enjoy the sunset, were welcomed at the tent with an amazing mint tea and dinner and we danced around the fire to traditional drum music!

We did 1 night of glamping experience and I think we should've stayed longer in the morning to enjoy the camp more. It was a beautiful experience and very comfortable beddings despite the heavy wind. The tents were warm and we actually got good sleep.

The staff in the camp trip is nice. The experience was beautiful.

I would find a more economic offer for almost the same experience. Extra pay of 20€ by person to go to the camp by camel. It can be explained initially in the offer to avoid missunderstandings. Extra pay of a bottle of water after the trip while dinning, strange after paying a luxury service with the dinner included. At least I would serve water free and special drinks payed apart.

Camel ride through the dunes. Camp arrangement.

In the evening a bottle of water cost (waiter demanded) MAD 50. So I paid 150 MAD for the 3 bottles of water! I thought OK, water in the desert is expensive. But imagine my surprise when the next morning the same bottle of water cost (from a different waiter) 15 MAD. It's inelegant. The owner asked me (via email) to remove my comment rather than take responsibility for the dishonest waiter... This is also inelegant.

As a preliminary remark: don't try to drive directly to the camp by a 2x2 car (like we did). Although we made it, it was almost impossible to get in (and out). So, first go to the hotel at the road on the other side of the dunes. There you will be welcomed for a drink before taking a camelride to the camp at sunset, a super nice, followed by a good dinner, a camp fire and music in the middle of the Chebbi dunes. Great experience. Before or after the overnight stay in the camp, take a 4x4 tour (ask for the real deal, not the standard tourist tour) to drive straight through the dunes and adjacent terrain. The team is doing everything to provide an excellent evening at an extraordinary part of Morocco.

Very kind people and waiters. Good musicians

The dinner was turistic and continental (pasta Col tonno e insalata russa). I thought it would be traditional. The tend were without air conditioned and then it was impossibile to sleep. Too turistic esperience

    Property response:

Hello Sara, Anyway. Thank you for your feedback, which wasn't helpful!!! First it was for the dinner, We serve 4 courses with a variety of food. For the weather. everyone go's in summer to the desert knows that the weather is very hot. we have aircondition in our luxury camp, but it's extra charge as it mentions in the Details of your reservation. it's extra charge because we have electrogene group that consume a lot of diesel and you will not use it for free. It's very Clear but some times is impossible to satisfy some kinds of people. You say that it's touristic, you are tourist also. if you don't want touristique places you should go and sleep with nomades directly. Bests.

Azawad Luxury Desert Camp is an wonderful desert experience. The camp is well run by an efficient staff, the tents are comfortable, and the food is great. The camel ride to the camp was amazing, and they planned the route to maximize privacy and beauty. We can highly recommend this camp and its excellent staff.

We spent two nights here and enjoyed it, although perhaps one night would be enough. A good combination would be one night at the camp and one at the Riad outside of town. This would give a day and a half for the desert, then relaxing by the pool in the afternoon of the second day.
