We booked the apartment and it is huge with a beautiful large balcony. Soufian was so welcoming, giving us amazing tips for essaouira and looking after our luggage post checkout in our final day. The breakfasts were superb.

We booked the apartment with the idea of cooking, however just to note that you need to buy food from souks which can make it more challenging so we ended up eating most food out. Therefore didn’t fully use the utensils in the kitchen so can not comment on quality.

The apartment is located in the next alley to Chem Bleu riad providing private space for a family to relax. Easy access to the local shops, restaurants and souk. The kitchen had everything we needed, with a big fridge to keep your drinks cold. There is no air conditioning, but the windows open to an ocean breeze, and there was a cool morning mist Be aware that there are 2 flights of stairs to the apartment door, and then the apartment is spread over 3 floors. If you want a rooftop terrace and view, then you need to be fit enough for the stairs! Breakfast in the riad each morning was generous and tasty, including omelette, pastries, fresh bread, yoghurt, mint tea, coffee, and orange juice. This is brought to your table and keeps coming until there is no more room on the table! The accommodation was good and the host is kind.

If you don't like cats, then you should be aware that there are 100s in Essaouira. We sat outside a restaurant to eat, and a male cat sprayed the table leg - and my leg! I also advise not wearing flip-flops when walking around as there is regularly cat poo in the ground. This is not a reflection on Chems Bleu, just an observation on Essaouira.

Once you enter Chems Bleu are you treated with the upmost warmth and hospitality. We came for couples time and our stay was excellent thanks to the incredible caring staff. We received wonderful recommendations that made our experience of Essaouira so special. The property itself is beautiful and peaceful. We had a lovely view of the ocean and spent a lot of time enjoying the balcony and room. The breakfast each morning was delicious and filling. Someone was always checking on us and making sure we had everything we needed. We were sad to leave and dream to return.

We enjoyed every moment and memory spent and made at Chems Bleu. The staff was incredibly kind, courteous, professional, helpful. We especially enjoyed breakfast with great food and good conversation about life and the world, thanks to Sophian. Lived our balcony, where we relaxed solo and with friends, and which offered a lively view of walkway below and vast, lovely view overlooking Medina and ocean beyond.

Some difficulties and lack of responsiveness pre-trip, but it was a very busy weekend for them and everything worked out just fine. Without the staff’s generous assistance, we would’ve had trouble hoisting luggage up and down stairs to room. (But no worries because they did assist!) Might be a bit pricey compared to other riads.

A magical place, the most kind and helpful people. The room was extremely clean, beautiful and spatious. The location was perfect for visiting the Medina yet situated in a quiet corner with a stunning view from the terrace. Highly recomended, the best accomodation we had in Morocco. Thank you very much for this experience and we hope to be back some day.

    That we couldn't stay longer.

The staff was very helpful and welcoming especially Soufiane

The listing had no pictures of the apartment and ended up paying for something that didn’t match our expectations. One of the rooms was not clean and had no air circulation, which made it uncomfortable. On top of that, we were asked to pay the tourist tax in cash, even though it should have been included in the online payment. Overall, not a transparent experience.

We had an amazing time at Chems Bleu. The staff is extremely professional, very careful and nice. The riad is very beautiful and clean. They serve tea any time of the day and the breakfast was typical Morrocan food, delicious. The location is great.

We will come back for sure to Essaouira in this hotel. why? The breakfast was tasty, generous and fulfilling with everything you wished sweet or salty. The staff was very helpful and available 24/7 The room was exceptional as were the washing products which smelled heavenly. It is also located in the medina, not too far from the parkings and close to the sea and the old centers.

    Everything was perfect

Beautiful property, peaceful, and lovely staff. I really enjoyed the mint tea on arrival (on the terrace!) and view of the sea. Very nice location in walking distance to the seafront. The breakfast was my favourite during my 10 day trip to Morocco.

I was a little warm without air conditioning (visited during May), but everything else was super

Perfect accommodation, centrally located in the Medina, but moment from the beach. Staff went out of their way to help in every way. The breakfast was lovely and very substantial. A great place to stay.

Nothing really, but the lighting in the bathroom (for shaving) might have been a little brighter. A very minor ponit.

The highlight of our Morocco trip, Chems Bleu is just the best. The staff is so helpful and sweet, Souf even saw that it was my partner's birthday when we booked the place and surprised her with a cake and candle during breakfast. Location is great (many cats near the entrance which is great since we love cats) and they help you so much especially if it s your first time in Essaouira. Stay here and you'll have the best trip!

    Nothing we could complain about.
