How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewIt was a true honesty with a Moroccan family, our hostess Faiza made us very welcome and we enjoyed the stay. We also had a chance to try delicious home cooked dishes. The place is centrally located and close to most attractions and markets.

Verified reviewFaiza is a fantastic host! She is incredible sweet and caring. There wasn’t anything she wouldn’t do for us. Unfortunately we had to move to some family’s house, but we are definitely coming back to Faiza when we get the chance.
You have to be aware that Faiza’s place is a family home but if you’re comfortable with that you will have the best experience ever.
Thank you very much

Verified reviewLast time I stayed in a larger hotel and wanted to experience something different this time and was very happy I did! Faiza and her family were absolutely amazing from the minute I got there. I felt as though I was staying with family and friends. They treated me like family and I got to know them and consider them friends. Such a beautiful family, and a very nice quiet comfortable place to stay. I enjoyed every minute and was sad to leave. For a great Moroccan experience I highly recommend “Chez Faiza”!

Verified reviewFaiza is a lovely lady letting out her spare room. She gave us a delicious couscous meal and several teas and local cakes. Attractive Moroccan tiled walls. Beds were fine. A more submersive Morrocan experience than most accommodation!! Faiza is a one off lady 😀!
I booked a room with private bathroom. However the bathroom is next to the kitchen and is shared with Faiza and her 2 children who occupy the other bedroom. Others could find this a lack of privacy. Our room had nowhere to hang or put anything, the whole space taken up with the 2 beds and a full cupboard covered in knick-knacks.

Verified reviewIts location in the middle of Medina was perfect. Faiza the hostess was friendly and obliging, treating us like family. She speaks some English but her husband and two children speak it pretty well. Faiza was happy to show my cousin how to make a Tagine, which was yummy! It’s was a 20 minute walk from Rabat Ville station and easy to find on Google Maps.
The only negative was sharing the bathroom with the family. The bathroom had a toilet and hand basin and a hand held shower over the toilet. They are in the process of adding a separate shower room for guests. Please note that the twin room is right off the main living room, so not much privacy.

Verified reviewFrom the exact moment I booked my stay with Chez Faiza in Rabat my host made me feel welcomed and truly at home. Faiza texted me to make sure I could find the place and let me know they (her whole family and friends) were waiting for me to have lunch together!!! A delicious, local and fresh meal!!! (see pictures) They were so warm and welcoming the whole time I was with them that I can genuinely say it was my best Moroccan experience in two weeks visiting more than 10 cities all over the country. Human connection at its finest. ABDESSAMAD (her son) was so kind as to offer joining them for a hammam visit after a long day of enjoying the city. I can guarantee you would not have such an authentic experience anywhere else in Rabat.
Seriously everything was nice and comfortable.

Verified reviewFaiza is very lovely and welcomed us into her home, her two children are very sweet. Overall we had a pleasant stay, Faiza made us breakfast in the morning and provided some useful advice.
We enjoyed our stay, however you are staying with a family which we were not entirely aware of beforehand.

Verified reviewFirst, you are treated like a Queen by Faisa. By greeting you with a tea and a snack. Offering food and sweets every time. It is important to understand that you are NOT in a Riad. You are in her home. The kitchen is 15 steps from the room/ The bathroom 10 steps. The bathroom is occasionally used by other people but kept very clean. The room is small would recommend for one person because absolutely no storage place in the room (cupboard, draws, hangers) but I used the second bed for my stuff. The family is very very quiet. You are welcome in the living room and she is opened to conversation about Morocco. Loved that walking distance to train station. Very secure location. Easy to find
I thought I was booking a room in a Riad. My bad!

Verified reviewThe hostess was incredibly inviting and welcoming, she exceeded our expectations, with family meals if we wanted, lunch and breakfast with traditional delicious Moroccan meals made by her. She also took us to Hammam and gave us tips for touring around the city. Most lovely stay we’ve had in Morocco could not recommend enough!! Thank you so so much! We loved everything about the stay.
Nothing.

Verified reviewNothing.
It's a disgusting accommodation. It's not a private room, it's part of the host's flat, so you are directly living with the family. The room doesn't have a window nor a fan. The family is even using the same bathroom, which doesn't have a shower. Everything is quite dirty and smelly, bugs were in the room. The host doesn't speak English at all. We tried to communicate the dissatisfaction right on the spot but no reaction. We had to leave and book another accommodation for the night. The host refused the refund when we raised the claim with Booking. It's a scam, don't book this! Ever!
