Everything was great ! Initially booked 2 nights then extended my stay as it was near perfection. I travel the world and I rarely felt at home like here... the location is great near the beach and everything you need is at walking distance. Jawad and all the staff are so friendly and helplful, everything that you may need in Tamraght or elsewhere. They are so arranging with everything. We were two females traveling and we never felt unsafe there, Jawad makes sure that all guests are treated well and safe, he even arranged dinner especially at my request one night when I told him what I wanted to eat. The food is very traditionnal, local and very well prepared (and I'm moroccan). One has to go there to understand. The rooftop is amazing also in the morning or at night everyone gathers and shares a wonderful moment together. The cute cat and dog are a bonus for animals lovers... I nearly cried when we were leaving and I will definitely come back directly there if I return to Tamraght.

Had the most amazing few days here. Such a nice sociable vibe, Jawad and the rest of the staff are great, always arranging activities that guests can choose to take part in. The food at breakfast and dinner was incredible, some of the best l've had in Morocco. The place was really clean and the kittens were adorable. Would highly recommend to anyone travelling to Tamraght.

We had an incredible time at Chill surfer Hostel! The place was beautiful and the food was amazing! (Really going to miss that breakfast!) The rooms are clean and the terras is super cozy. We really felt at home and Jawad is the BEST host. He took us to the most amazing places and organised everything. Jawad and his team really made our stay in Tamraght unforgettable. We will definitely be back!

Staying with Jawad at the Chillsurfer Hostel has truly been a special experience! The facilities are absolutely beautiful. I arrived sick, and was offered fresh ginger and lemon tea several time, and also extra blankets and support. The vibe here is super special, all the people have breakfast and the (absolutely delicious) dinners all together. The dorms and rooms are some of the nicest I have seen in Morocco. The location is also perfect, as you can chill in Tamraght or take a nice beach walk to the more busy Taghazout if you feel like it. The tours the hostel offers are organized by Jawad, the host himself and are thus unique, and not the cookie cutter touristy stuff. I can only recommend to join a day at the Secret Valley where you can swim in the clear waters of a gorge and get a super delicious lunch! Jawad also helped me find a good horse back riding tour with a friend of his. The horse I rode was super calm and chill, and I felt very safe to galoppe along the beach!

Fantastic welcome form the hostel team - friendly warm and chilled vibe and felt perfectly comfortable as a solo female 50+ traveller. Fabulous food both at breakfast time and in the evening. Loved the supportive yoga classes on the roof terrace with Ruth especially as a beginner. Great excursion to the 'Secret valley' away from the tourist trail with Jawad & Mohammed.

I had a wonderful experience at Chill Surfer. As 42 year old woman travelling my myself I was worried I'd feel out of place with the young backpackers but I needn't have worried, all the other guests were lovely and the staff are amazing. The communal breakfast is delicious and a great way to socialise with other guests. Ruth's yoga classes were brilliant and I felt welcome and comfortable even though I was very rusty. If you can, go on Jawad's trip to Secret Valley - an unforgettable day out. Also have dinner at the hostel: it's delicious! Room beautiful and clean, location spot on, 10/10 to everything. The resident kittens were the cherry on top. A truly special place, I hope to be back next winter... if not before!

Very welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel at home from the first moment. The hostel is beautiful with a great rooftop, filled with the sweetest cats and people with beautiful souls, that are always there to help. And the food is amazing!!! Also enjoyed a lot the evenings at the fireplace on the rooftop under the stars.

From the moment you walked into the hostel it felt like somewhere familiar, safe, peaceful and just so special. It is perfectly located on the lovely village of Tamraght and just a short walk to the beach. The care and love that has been poured into this hostel is evident throughout and is testament to Jawad vision for the place and the vibe he creates.

There are two bathrooms with two separate showers. The first shower in the upper bathroom was rather weak but still can take a proper shower if you need to. Also there aren’t lockers in the all girls room - it did not bother me, but I can see how it might be important for others who have valuables.

Very beautifully decorated, homely atmosphere. The open area where breakfast and dinner is served is a nice place to hang out and connect / share a vibe with others staying in the hostel and the staff who are super lovely and accommodating. Really loved the extra space on the balcony where you can do yoga or stretch in the morning/after a long day - the sun really hits which is amazing but there are also shady areas during certain parts of the day if you’d rather be in the shade. The kittens oh my god make the place feel even more homely and the staff are just so lovely and open hearted people which makes the experience warmer 🫶🥲🤌🏼✨

This is a truly warm and welcoming place to stay. Good energies only. The owner put a lot of detail in (t)his place. The stuff is very friendly. I booked two nights but ended up to extend my stay. The people you met are just so nice, all solo travelers while I was there. The breakfast is delicious, a lot of variety. The terrace is the most amazing place to hangout, there is a fire place which makes it even more cozy. I will definitely return and can only recommend! Don’t think twice. It is close to everything you need. Thanks a lot for make this place home.

Jawad and Zelie were the most wonderful hosts, friendly and there to help with anything. The peaceful nature of the hostel, lovely social space, amazing home cooked breakfasts and evening meals (extra charge for evening meal) by Jawad and crew. I had the absolute best time at Chill Surfer Hostel! The hospitality was incredible—Jawad and Aaliyah made me feel so welcome, it truly felt like home. The rooms and facilities were fantastic—clean, comfortable, and perfectly set up for a relaxing stay. Breakfast was amazing, with fresh, delicious options every morning, and the location is perfect, just a short walk to the beach. I met so many great people during my stay, and the communal vibe made the experience even better. Jawad, Aliya and Zelie were also super helpful with recommendations, from the best surf spots to hidden gems around the area, making it easy to experience Tamraght like a local. They truly go above and beyond to ensure you have an authentic and memorable stay. A highlight was the dinner—you can book it at the hostel, and it’s hands-down the best Moroccan food I’ve ever had. Huge thanks to Jawad and Aliya for everything. I can’t wait to come back!
