How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified review⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Everything was very clean, and we could definitely see the improvements made in the grounds maintenance – it looked lovely and well cared for. There was a good choice of food, with something for everyone, and the all-inclusive option made it super easy and stress-free. I’d happily recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a relaxed, easy holiday.
❌ The downside: The biggest negative was the smoking. Many guests, mainly French, smoked anywhere they liked – around the pool, at the outdoor café, and really in any outdoor area. Ash was flicked about without care, and when the hotel was busy in the evenings the cigarette smoke made it quite unpleasant and, at times, downright disgusting. It often felt like they didn’t care about anyone else around them, which spoiled the atmosphere in the evenings.

Verified reviewFrom the moment I arrived, I felt completely relaxed and looked after. The Moroccan architecture was stunning, with beautiful details everywhere you turned, and the fruit trees outside the Riad gave the whole place an authentic charm. The pools were perfect for both relaxation and activity, and I loved that the staff organised yoga and swim fitness sessions — it made it easy to balance rest with a bit of movement. Drinks were flowing all day, from refreshing mojitos to other cocktails, and every afternoon at 4 o’clock there was a lovely tea break with croissants, which felt like such a thoughtful touch. The resort was spotless thanks to the hardworking staff, who were always available and so welcoming.
Only issue is that we’ve requested a few times for someone to check the AC and no staff came.

Verified reviewStaff were good, very friendly and helpful. Food was lovely rooms were nice and clean. Gardens around the hotel were nice. The evening entertainment was enjoyable.
The bar was understaffed and the queue was quite often long on the evening and would have liked coffee and tea making facilities in the room.

Verified reviewNothing!
The hotel is located far from the city's attractive places. In addition, the hotel was crowded with boys who worked for a travel agency, constantly bothering tourists by offering services they did not need in an attempt to earn money from them. Ants and insects infest the rooms (see photos). I do not recommend it. The restaurant's service was subpar; they failed to fill food on time (see photos).

Verified reviewPositives. The grounds are lovely. Beautiful gardens.
You have to pay additional to play any activities such as table tennis, badminton. The pools are absolutely freezing. Sun-beds are disgusting full of dirt. Staff have a terrible attitude and are not happy to help. Will never greet you and just seem miserable to be there. I think this really ruins a holiday it makes the whole atmosphere negative especially when you have small children. They are not happy to provide drinks even with it being an inclusive seem to get irritated. The animation team are not that good just singing songs and dancing. None of the shows advertised were on. So no proper entertainment. None of the staff speak or understand basic English so trying to communicate with them Is really difficult. Food is basic and not much of it. It finishes quickly and they are hesitant to top it up. So if you come later left with scraps. From lunch to dinner there is a gap of 4 hours 3pm to 7.15pm where there is no food just some pastries and waffles. Which is not good when you have kids. The main negative is the cleanliness of the rooms. The beds are full of bed bugs I have been bitten all over. The beds are literally broken with mattresses sinking in. No extra pillows or duvets will be provided no matter how much you ask. The rooms are very small for families. The cleaners won’t change the sheets your entire stay even if you have spilt something. They do a basic mop and wipe. Leave an unpleasant smell like they have used a dirty mop. There are ants and bugs all over and piles of dust in the lamps and near the beds. They will give you 2 towels once a day for a full family and heaven forbid you ask for an extra towel they will have a terrible attitude. The bathroom has a vile sewage smell and mould. There is no shampoo or conditioner. It is basically a hand wash that is used in shower. No tea or coffee in room. No iron. They charge for bus shuttle to square but you rather get a taxi its not much difference on price, it is boiling on the bus don’t have any AC.

Verified reviewResort was OK, aqua park was located in medina valeria which was a bit of walk as it was not inside this resort as shown in pictures. Welcome show was nice.
Food options not too many not much activities for kids apart from pool , in breakfast only one omelette station and I had to wait atleast 20 mins in crowd to get eggs. It could be managed in a proper way by adding more stations or people. Same was for pancakes. Whenever I came to breakfast there were no bowls and had to wait so all these waiting times added abit of hassel to start our day with. During check in they gave us wrong room then I went to reception he gave me other room where I went and the room was already occupied and finally on third attempt gave me my family room which was nice so a bit of management is required in everything. Spa was poor no private services available.

The rooms needed updating furniture and curtains very old and soiled.

Verified reviewIt was relaxing and a getaway
It was expensive and didn’t really live upto the standard compared to other all inclusive hotels. The staff were not as welcoming, I feel this was because I was an hijabi, the response from them was aloof and I had to ask the same request multiple times 😔

Verified reviewFantastic selection of pools and access to the small aquaparc in the neighbouring hotel. Wonderful animation team with activities through the day to keep the family entertained. All inclusive was great value with great with large selection of good quality food and drinks.
The "fitness centre" was a series of running machines which were temperamental or unsafe in a space next to the indoor pool with cockroaches and no air conditioning. There was no shelf space and very few hangers in the room. £10 deposit for towels which had to be cash so ££ tied up until end of holiday - would be better if you could just charge it to the room.

Verified reviewThe entertainment staff were great with children and did activities non stop throughout the day and evening.
The food was not of a 4* standard. Very limited on choice and repetitive even though themes on different nights. Evening meal was poor but bbq at lunch was ok.

Verified reviewWe had a fantastic time at Valeria Atlas Hotel Marrakech! The rooms were spotlessly clean and the facilities were absolutely brilliant – from the pool to the spa, everything was well-maintained and enjoyable. A special shoutout to the entertainment team who kept us busy and smiling all day with fun activities and shows – they really made the experience memorable. The food was exceptionally good, with a wide variety of dishes to choose from. The desserts in particular were to die for – we looked forward to them every single day! The only slight downside was that the hotel is a bit out of the way, so we had to get a taxi each time we wanted to go into central Marrakech. But honestly, it wasn’t a big issue and was well worth it for the relaxing environment the hotel offers. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a peaceful, fun, and food-filled getaway!

Verified reviewNice, spacious , clean rooms. Beautiful, peaceful grounds. Great food. Lovely, fun animation team.
Some savoury snacks would have been good to have available during the day, not just sweet pastries. Need money for everything, deposit for towels, safe, and to print boarding passes (20 dhs per sheet seemed quite expensive). Was told by receptionist it would cost 200 dhs to airport just needed to walk out via gate and then got out no one wanted to take us, insisted on 250 which we no longer had. In the end a nice taxi driver decided to take us with us cutting it fine to the airport. Smart TV with Youtube etc would have been useful for kids in the room. Also, the fact you have to pay for certain drinks means it's not fully all inclusive.
