How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewNothing
Rooms were dingy and dirty. The outside areas looked unkempt. After seeing the rooms we decided to leave although we had already paid and the fees were no refundable. That gives you an indication of how bad it was.

Verified reviewWe were a couple with a young child. We booked a basic room, but they gave us the option to choose. We opted for one that resembled a royal suite, was big with two separate areas: one with three single beds and another with a double bed. It had two bathrooms and an interior hallway. It was an old style room with historical features and very beautiful. We felt like royalty. Additionally, there was a nice pool and a good breakfast. I highly recommend this hotel!

Verified reviewWhat an amazing place, the service from start to finish was outstanding. If you want to get away from the hassle and bassle this is your hidden gem. Coming back for me is a must. Everyone was wonderful. The owner truly cares about his guests. The food was delicious from breakfast to dinner. My Royal room was superb and extremely cleaned. I can't fault it as I went there for peace and quiet. I've noticed people keep coming back as I saw them talking to the staffs. It definitely feels like you are at home. I will be back for more peace and quiet time that'sfor sure. Thank you all for making my stay an amazing one.
I can not fault it. A moroccan hidden jewel

Verified reviewI enjoyed the grounds, large open air areas on a hill outside of town, room to sit outside and relax, read. On a side note, I was having some trouble with my car clutch when I arrived and asked if they had any DOT4 fluid - manager went above and beyond by contacting a mechanic in Ouarzazate 5 miles down the road, who took a look at the car (at night, on a weekend) and diagnosed a leaky hydraulic connection, reinforced the o-ring (didn't have an exact spare on hand) and refilled the fluid in a very short amount of time and for a very reasonable price. I then took the car over probably the most punishing road in Morocco, (R307) and back to Marrakesh with no further problems! I might not have made it home without the staff!
Heat pump was not working in my room, however I didn't really need it due to time of year.

Verified reviewWe stayed here for a week in the second half of September. It is a very peaceful hotel about 10 minutes drive from Ouarzazate and surrounded by rocky desert scenery and with distant panoramic views of the Atlas Mountains . The nearby road was very quiet so no traffic noise either. There weren’t many other guests when we went, so we had the pool to ourselves pretty much the whole time. Ibrahim and the rest of the staff were very friendly and eager to help with anything we asked and they keep the place fairly clean and tidy too. The dining area had a really lovely feel to it and breakfasts were absolutely delicious with generous portions that kept us going for most of the day. We had our evening meal under the stars here on one night but went in to Ouarzazate for the rest as there was more of a variety of options. The hotel does not serve alcohol but you can buy your own at the Carrefour supermarket in town.
When we arrived the pool had green algae all over the bottom so we had to ask for it to be cleaned before we used it. This they did straight away and spent a lot of time putting it right. The hotel very much needs some TLC as there are lots of broken or unfinished parts to it which I would not expect for the price we paid and compared to the price of other hotels in the area. As other reviewers mentioned, the horses are no longer here either. I’m guessing that the hotel would have been much smarter once upon a time but the pandemic probably hit it quite hard and now it just feels a bit tired, neglected and in need of some investment. There was no minibar in the room as stated in the description but the staff would put your drinks in the kitchen fridge if you asked.

Verified reviewThe staff was really nice. Nice swimming pool. The breakfast and food in general was really good.
We booked this place because of the horses and the possibilities to ride. But they sold all the horses 2 month prior our visit and didn't communicate it.

Verified reviewGood place if you need peace and quiet. Hotel service full of attention, they always ask what time to serve breakfast or dinner, and you can ask Omar for everything, who is there to help. Great hospitality! Thank You! Amazing traditional dishes - all prepared with fresh ingredients on site- the best tajin I’ve had in Morocco!
In previous comments guests mentioned dirty swimming pool, no shower gel, broken facilities - and I think it’s quite unfair. When I wanted to swim and a water wasn’t quite clean I’ve asked Omar and maintenance straight away cleaned the pool. Same with shower gel - you just need to ask. The staff treats guests exceptionally! 😊 thank you!

Verified reviewThe hotel was located in a secluded, quiet, and peaceful area, which could be a plus for those seeking a getaway from the city hustle. The rooms were clean.
The hotel staff had difficulties communicating in English, which could be challenging for international guests. The rooms were quite dim, which may not suit those who prefer bright and spacious interiors. The absence of a refrigerator and a safe in the room was inconvenient for guests expecting these amenities. The outdoor area near the pool was damaged, dirty, with dilapidated sun loungers, and only four functional loungers for the entire facility. The chairs around the pool were dirty and worn-out, and the overall patio appeared as if it hadn't been cleaned in years. The presence of many loud children by the pool area could disrupt the tranquility and relaxation. The food ordered in the hotel restaurant was average in taste, and unpeeled fruits were served for dessert. The value for money was poor, meaning that the price was high compared to the offered services and the condition of the facility.

Verified reviewNicely located out of the city. Nice garden and swimming pool. Friendly staff and nice walking on an around the premises.
Menu could be more diverse, premises need some maintenance (although they’re working on it and Corona years had its effects) and be aware that during weekends big groups can “take over” the hotel (although the group that were having a party during our stay were very quiet at night).
