How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

A special thank you to Abdessamad, who was extremely helpful and made sure we had everything we needed during our stay. The meals were absolutely delicious and very generous. The hospitality and care we received made our stay truly memorable. I highly recommend Atlas Charme to anyone visiting Imlil 😊

No Wi-fi or electric for 2 days, meaning I had to leave the hotel early. The manager lied to me and said he had refunded my remaining days. I lost 4 nights staya The food was overpriced. Due to the location of the hotel, unless you have your own transportation, you have no other choice than to eat at the hotel. The overpriced guide services offered by the hotel are not mandatory, and the manager should not of told me they were.
We were quite surprised to read your review, as we were expecting a more balanced reflection of your experience after your stay with us. We always strive to provide the best service, and we were hoping that, at the very least, you would acknowledge the efforts we made during your time here. To clarify a few points: The electricity and Wi-Fi outage you experienced was not limited to our hotel. It was a widespread issue affecting the entire area. We contacted the electricity provider immediately, and their team came on-site to assess and resolve the problem, which impacted the whole region. We understand how inconvenient this was, and we acted quickly to inform you. Regarding your cancellation, when you decided to shorten your stay, we respected your decision and processed everything as per your request. If there was any confusion regarding the refund, we would be happy to look into it and resolve any issues. As for the food prices, we offered a full meal (soup, tajine, dessert, and tea) for only 100dh, which is a very competitive price given the quality and portions. We believe this was a fair price for the meal provided. Lastly, about the guide services, these are optional, and we always make sure to communicate that clearly. We apologize if there was any misunderstanding, and we will work on improving this communication going forward. We were genuinely hoping for feedback that reflected the positive aspects of your stay, especially the comfort and cleanliness of your room, and the efforts we made to resolve the power and Wi-Fi issue. We truly care about our guests' experiences and hope this situation won't overshadow the overall stay.

Verified reviewThe location was sublime, nestled away in the tranquil village of Tamatert in the mountains. The staff were very welcoming, helpful and kind. And the breakfast was great!
The only problem was that an evening meal wasn’t available due to Ramadan. But this was an exceptional circumstance and I was able to cook for myself - and was also very kindly given traditional porridge eaten at the breaking of the fast each night!

Verified reviewI would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a place to stay in the region (it’s just a few kilometers from Imlil). The rooms are clean and radiate the atmosphere of the mountains—colors, wood, Berber carpets… And then there’s the view from the room—simply breathtaking! This village and its surroundings are truly magical. At first, the owner seemed a bit reserved and distant, but he turned out to be incredibly charming. Since it was Ramadan and all the restaurants were closed, he went with us to the store, prepared a kind of oatmeal for us, and even lit the fire. It ended up being the simplest evening of our trip (the electricity even went out 🙂), but far from the least cozy! I will definitely come back here. Next time, we hope to climb Toubkal with him, as he also turns out to be an excellent guide. Highly recommended!

The cleanliness is first class.Bed comfortable. ✨✨⛰️🏔️⛰️🏔️⛰️ The view from the place is just like a dream. Magical ATLAS . I ate every morning and evening under the stars facing the mountains. I felt the greatest calmness and peace. The mountains, the waterfall and the town(Imlil) where you can shop if you want are within a pleasant walk.There are other restaurants nearby if you want to have dinner somewhere else. I felt completely safe the whole time, the Bergers people are very friendly🙏❤️

Verified reviewThe view, the terrace, great WiFi, great breakfast (one of the best in Morocco) kind host, great shower, beautiful furniture and fittings. A real little gem, especially for the price!
The area feels a little run down, but I think it adds to the charm. Lots of local people and chickens/horses etc walking around outside but it was still totally quiet at night.
