Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomLocation was excellent, all of the staff were extremely friendly and accommodated a late check in due to a flight delay with no issues. It has a great view of sunset from the roof. Perfect accommodation for a couple as quiet and relaxed.

PortugalThe only thing that made me feel slightly uneasy was the narrow street where the hotel is located. Some of the nearby buildings looked a bit run-down or abandoned, although it seemed that people were still living in them.
This place is truly a dream. Since there are only a few rooms, there are fewer guests, which makes it calm and peaceful—no crowds or noise. The staff are incredibly helpful and friendly, always offering water and making sure you're comfortable.

Hong KongBreakfast could have improved - we were only asked if we would like some eggs on the second day.
Dar Beija is located in the Jewish Quarter in Marrakech which is the perfect base for our 3 days visit in Marrakech exploring the city, particularly the Medina. The Bahia Palace is just a stone's throw away. The owner and staff are friendly and welcoming. We stayed at the Aman Double Room, which was on the ground floor but it was quiet. The room, although a bit smaller than the other dar and riad we have stayed in Morocco, is clean and tidy.

South AfricaWe loved our stay at Riad Dar Beija. From the time we arrived to the time we checked out, the staff were all amazing and welcoming. The riad is beautiful, with the pool area a gorgeous feature. The rooftop is perfect for relaxing and watching the sun set. Our room was comfortable and clean. We only stayed 1 night and would've loved to have stayed longer. Would recommend this riad.

United KingdomRiad Dar Beija was everything we could've asked for during our first trip to Marrakech. All aspects from the location, décor, staff, and amenities far exceeded our expectations. Said, Ismail, and Aisha were friendly and accommodating for all of our requirements; even going above and beyond to book our excursions through their contacts- do not think they are just making money from you, the excursions far exceeded any that you could book through other providers. We had private transfers from the airport and to our quad biking in the Agafay desert, again both arranged by Said. The Riad itself was beautiful, with authentic Moroccan design throughout to match the authentic Moroccan breakfast made fresh every morning. Further, the location was ideal to be close enough to all the hustle and bustle of the Medina (2 minute walk from Bahia Palace!), but far enough away to feel like a world away as soon as you step through the front door, and could only hear the birds chirping around the central courtyard of the riad. Honestly, so beautiful, would definitely recommend.

United KingdomNothing, really, maybe a bit expensive compared to other riads (however, for what we got, we would be more than welcome to pay this price again)? Swimming pool is only decorative (we knew it, so no problem at all), we were really tempted to go in during sunny and hot days in Marrakech, and its sound at night is so comforting :)
This is a true gem in Marrakech. Thank you Saïd for welcoming us and hosting in this beautiful beautiful Moroccan riad. The riad is in a convenient location, just outside the medina centre (so very quiet) but close to most famous attractions in Marrakech. We walked around without any problems, the area feels local but very safe. The hospitality here is exceptional. Everything is taken care of, the riad spaces and rooms are so clean and well decorated (loved the perfumes in the air and the music!). The terrace is, we spent all our evenings there, just reading, chilling out and waiting for the final call to prayer of the day. Our room was the suite, so nice and well prepared, spacious, clean, nice. Breakfast is superb, very good quality ingredients and freshly prepared. Most of all, what is exceptional here is the true attention to guests. Without us asking, the hosts pre pared us breakfast on the day of our departure, even if we left very early and it was not convenient for them to prepare it for us so early (appreciated!). They had also prepared something for us to take during our journey back. They let us print boarding pass, arranged taxi, and safely shipped to the UK a precious item we had lost in the room. Try the hammam experience in the spa they are affiliated to, great experience! Thank you Saïd and team for your hospitality. We will come back one day!

The Riad was beautiful and had so many thoughtful design touches! The breakfast was varied and delicious and more than enough food! Our room was super cute and the bathroom was large and bed very comfortable! We were a little nervous it would be loud as it was the first room in the Riad, but at night it was incredibly quiet and you could hear the quiet bubbling of the pool in the center of courtyard. As someone who is a lighter sleeper, I had zero issues! Siad was an amazing host and was funny and really made the stay! After leaving and staying at another Riad, we instantly missed this one and wished we had stayed here for our entire trip!

United StatesWe had a beautiful stay in Dar Beija. The staff are warm, attentive, and so helpful and kind. We were traveling with a baby and they went out of their way to help us with the stroller, warming up milk, etc. The decor is incredibly lovely and the ambiance is so relaxing and beautiful. We found the area to be quiet. We all slept well. Breakfast was always very good and it was served in a beautiful Moroccan-style lounge. I would not hesitate to recommend Dar Beija. We were extremely satisfied and had a lovely 5 day stay.

NorwayThe only thing was that there was no hot water on one of the evenings that we stayed there, and also not in the morning after. I dont think this a regular problem as I dont see anyone else writing this in the reviews, so it was probably out of the staffs hands, but just wanted to mention that. Otherwise we loved everything!
Beautifully decorated Riyad, with a cozy, romantic and quiet ambience. The roof terrace was absolutely fantastic, with 360 degree views towards the Atlas mountains. You could easily hang out up there the whole day, just relaxing. The location is great. In a quiet narrow street but only 5 mins walk into the souks and Jemaa El Fna. The staff, especially Ismael made us feel so comfortable and cared for. Always willing to help with a big smile. The bed was the best we had during our Morocco trip, and we stayed in many different locations. It was also sparkling clean.

SwitzerlandFriendly staff, the decor is esthetically pleasing, and the location is great. The best part was the rooftop seating, which we used often. If you are planning on staying for more than 1 or 2 nights, choose a larger room. The room was tiny. We also needed to get the shower fixed since the water came out as a dribble. But we really needed to insist. And if you would like to keep things romantic, know that there is not a real door on the toilet and there will be no surprises by the end of your trip.

There is a wonderful terrace when you can go to and watch the sunset over the city whilst relaxing with a drink. The staff are amazing and can't do enough for you, A good continental breakfast provided to set you for many hours walking the beautiful streets site seeing. United Kingdom"We stayed at Dar Beija for our first experience of Marrakesh, and honestly, we couldn't have asked for a better introduction to the city. Saïd, Ismail, and the entire team were fantastic-warm, welcoming, and always ready to help with anything we needed. Nothing was ever too much trouble. The riad itself is incredibly comfortable and cosy, providing the perfect retreat from the vibrant energy of the souks. After a day of exploring, closing the door behind you and stepping into such a peaceful space was an absolute joy. We would highly recommend Dar Beija to anyone visiting Marrakesh!"

United KingdomIt looked like it was down what a Brit would describe as a back alley so being a single female, I did encounter issues walking down this passage. The man working the riad didn't come to the door too fast so I was stood outside alone being harassed by somebody hoping i'd be let in asap. I wish I could have spoken the same language at this point.
Location was not far from the hustle and bustle, close to food and bars. The riad itself - my room was huge and lots of space. Very unique and the detail was beautiful. On the darker side in comparison to the other places I had stayed.

United KingdomGiven the price of the dar, it would be worth buying a new mattress and a fridge.
The dar is on the edge of the Mellah - and so is in a quiet location with easy access to the southern end of the Medina. It is more of a walk to new town and Gueliz. The pick up from the Kosy Bar in Tinsmith Square went very smoothly. The room was on the first floor and was spacious and well decorated, although there were numerous light switches and very low lighting. It was well equipped with a noisy fridge. The breakfasts are standard with other Moroccan hotels and filling. We enjoyed the views from the terrace which allowed us to see the Atlas Mountains and the new crescent moon very clearly. The staff are very friendly and helpful and always opened the door, as we didn't have a front door key. The wifi is inconsistent in its strength but we think this may be beyond the control of the dar owner and we were given access to a different network which performed much better.
