How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewLocation was excellent, all of the staff were extremely friendly and accommodated a late check in due to a flight delay with no issues. It has a great view of sunset from the roof. Perfect accommodation for a couple as quiet and relaxed.

Verified reviewThis place is truly a dream. Since there are only a few rooms, there are fewer guests, which makes it calm and peaceful—no crowds or noise. The staff are incredibly helpful and friendly, always offering water and making sure you're comfortable.
The only thing that made me feel slightly uneasy was the narrow street where the hotel is located. Some of the nearby buildings looked a bit run-down or abandoned, although it seemed that people were still living in them.

Verified reviewDar Beija is located in the Jewish Quarter in Marrakech which is the perfect base for our 3 days visit in Marrakech exploring the city, particularly the Medina. The Bahia Palace is just a stone's throw away. The owner and staff are friendly and welcoming. We stayed at the Aman Double Room, which was on the ground floor but it was quiet. The room, although a bit smaller than the other dar and riad we have stayed in Morocco, is clean and tidy.
Breakfast could have improved - we were only asked if we would like some eggs on the second day.

The pool was small than expected

Verified reviewWe loved our stay at Riad Dar Beija. From the time we arrived to the time we checked out, the staff were all amazing and welcoming. The riad is beautiful, with the pool area a gorgeous feature. The rooftop is perfect for relaxing and watching the sun set. Our room was comfortable and clean. We only stayed 1 night and would've loved to have stayed longer. Would recommend this riad.

Verified reviewRiad Dar Beija was everything we could've asked for during our first trip to Marrakech. All aspects from the location, décor, staff, and amenities far exceeded our expectations. Said, Ismail, and Aisha were friendly and accommodating for all of our requirements; even going above and beyond to book our excursions through their contacts- do not think they are just making money from you, the excursions far exceeded any that you could book through other providers. We had private transfers from the airport and to our quad biking in the Agafay desert, again both arranged by Said. The Riad itself was beautiful, with authentic Moroccan design throughout to match the authentic Moroccan breakfast made fresh every morning. Further, the location was ideal to be close enough to all the hustle and bustle of the Medina (2 minute walk from Bahia Palace!), but far enough away to feel like a world away as soon as you step through the front door, and could only hear the birds chirping around the central courtyard of the riad. Honestly, so beautiful, would definitely recommend.

Verified reviewThis is a true gem in Marrakech. Thank you Saïd for welcoming us and hosting in this beautiful beautiful Moroccan riad. The riad is in a convenient location, just outside the medina centre (so very quiet) but close to most famous attractions in Marrakech. We walked around without any problems, the area feels local but very safe. The hospitality here is exceptional. Everything is taken care of, the riad spaces and rooms are so clean and well decorated (loved the perfumes in the air and the music!). The terrace is, we spent all our evenings there, just reading, chilling out and waiting for the final call to prayer of the day. Our room was the suite, so nice and well prepared, spacious, clean, nice. Breakfast is superb, very good quality ingredients and freshly prepared. Most of all, what is exceptional here is the true attention to guests. Without us asking, the hosts pre pared us breakfast on the day of our departure, even if we left very early and it was not convenient for them to prepare it for us so early (appreciated!). They had also prepared something for us to take during our journey back. They let us print boarding pass, arranged taxi, and safely shipped to the UK a precious item we had lost in the room. Try the hammam experience in the spa they are affiliated to, great experience! Thank you Saïd and team for your hospitality. We will come back one day!
Nothing, really, maybe a bit expensive compared to other riads (however, for what we got, we would be more than welcome to pay this price again)? Swimming pool is only decorative (we knew it, so no problem at all), we were really tempted to go in during sunny and hot days in Marrakech, and its sound at night is so comforting :)

Staff was adorable, Said and Ismail who manager the riad were very helpful and welcoming. The suite is very spacious, beautiful and clean. Verified reviewWe had a beautiful stay in Dar Beija. The staff are warm, attentive, and so helpful and kind. We were traveling with a baby and they went out of their way to help us with the stroller, warming up milk, etc. The decor is incredibly lovely and the ambiance is so relaxing and beautiful. We found the area to be quiet. We all slept well. Breakfast was always very good and it was served in a beautiful Moroccan-style lounge. I would not hesitate to recommend Dar Beija. We were extremely satisfied and had a lovely 5 day stay.

Verified reviewBeautifully decorated Riyad, with a cozy, romantic and quiet ambience. The roof terrace was absolutely fantastic, with 360 degree views towards the Atlas mountains. You could easily hang out up there the whole day, just relaxing. The location is great. In a quiet narrow street but only 5 mins walk into the souks and Jemaa El Fna. The staff, especially Ismael made us feel so comfortable and cared for. Always willing to help with a big smile. The bed was the best we had during our Morocco trip, and we stayed in many different locations. It was also sparkling clean.
The only thing was that there was no hot water on one of the evenings that we stayed there, and also not in the morning after. I dont think this a regular problem as I dont see anyone else writing this in the reviews, so it was probably out of the staffs hands, but just wanted to mention that. Otherwise we loved everything!

Verified reviewFriendly staff, the decor is esthetically pleasing, and the location is great. The best part was the rooftop seating, which we used often. If you are planning on staying for more than 1 or 2 nights, choose a larger room. The room was tiny. We also needed to get the shower fixed since the water came out as a dribble. But we really needed to insist. And if you would like to keep things romantic, know that there is not a real door on the toilet and there will be no surprises by the end of your trip.
