How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewWe stayed there only a night, arriving late and leaving early, but we were really impressed by the design of the building. It was renovated using traditional techniques but adding a contemporary twist. The rooms and common spaces were very spacious, and the building had an amazing rooftop terrace with picturesque views towards the other villages and mountains. The room was comfortable and we could rest very well there. The hosts were sweet and gentle. The breakfast was really generous; I think we could eat only a quarter of it. I highly recommend it, especially if you are looking for a comfortable and peaceful stay away from the tourist madness.

Verified reviewWe only stayed one night on our way to Marrakesh, cause we wanted to check out Ait-Ben-Haddou, which was beautiful but in the end we enjoyed the area around Dar Bilal way more. Our evening walk through the gardens around was incredibly calming and beautiful, the little village is really charming. The whole family is welcoming the guests in a very warm way and really looking for everyone to enjoy the stay. Also the food is really good and the view from the rooftop spectacular! The price is more than fair.

Verified reviewThe host is super, very friendly. Authentic, self-made house impressive. We also had a very nice walk in the oasis and agricultural area and the river side. Very much recommanded.
The shower had only cold water, we were there on very cloudy days. Perhaps sunboilers could not work well.

Verified reviewIncredible decoration. The food was amazing. Mohammed gave us a really nice 3 course dinner for a very good price, and a plentiful breakfast the following morning. The room was comfortable, with good pillows, covers and AC/HC. Thought is 10 minute drive from Ait Benhaddou, the value is worth it if you want to say close to the Ksar. It is in a very small village, but there are signals to help you get there from the road.

Verified reviewStunning place, lots of places to relax. Incredible views from the terrace. Rooms are practical & comfortable. Lovely breakfast The staff are very welcoming & sweet They offer dinner upon request & athough we didnt use this option I wish we had because the restaurants in the main town near Ait Ben haddou leave much to be desired
Located in a stunning setting, in a very small village of its own - primarily residential although there are a couple of places to stay or to eat. Unfortunately when we tried to have a wander round in the daytime we were stopped/ followed/ harassed by a number of different local men. We felt unwelcome & that perhaps we were intruding in a very local area so we quickly turned back

Verified reviewThis was one of the most fantastic stay we have done in Morroco. The house is simpliy fantastic, made by the owner with great taste. The location is perfect, with a magnificent view from the upstairs terrace. We felt part of the family. Evening diners served by the family were amongst the best we had in Morroco. I would come back with my eyes closed and stay much longer!

Verified reviewThey are very kind and helpful people. Riad is very calm, clean and have beautiful views from the rooftop. Very good food. We enjoyed our short stay here.
We've visited road during winter, and we didn't have enough blankets to stay warm during night, I woke up around 4am because it was cold and there was nothing else to cover.

Verified reviewThis Riad is remote with no shops close by. It has a few bedrooms that are basic & quite small with small en-suite. It is old but quite clean. The family who run this accommodation are very nice. We had dinner there which was one of the best tagines we had in Morrocco.
There were dogs barking most of the night. I am a light sleeper, so this disturbed my sleep significantly. I suggest this needs to be looked at by the owner.

Verified reviewA clean, charming and beautifully furnished place with a personal touch in the decor. The house is located in a quiet hamlet with gorgeous countryside around. Staff were super— genuinely friendly and helpful. Great breakfast and dinners. Tea is provided with a wonderful array of nuts and local pastries.
The bedrooms and bathrooms are very clean, though rather small and basic. No easy access to public transport.
