Mohammed was just the best, and the riad (old mansion) was very impressive. I would definitely stay here again.

After somebody showed me the riad, it was not difficult to find it since the house is not far from one of Medina's main streets. Beautiful riad. Good typical breakfast. The bed was hard, but that was not a problem for me.

In the single room the shower area needs painting, and there was no furniture for clothes.

Location is perfect. Inside of place is so cozzy and traditional. Breakfast is okey. There is only sweet things. Bathroom is very nice.

They dont give you the outdoor key. So when you arrive, everytime you must to ring the bell. We were stopped at the door twice. We waited at least 5-10 minutes. Room lighting is so poor.

Mohamed is a very friendly person who will help you with everything. The rooms are spacious and very clean, thanks to Karima. Beautiful decorated, the Dar is central and closed to everything.

Breakfast could be more varied and including eggs

We had a lovely time at Dar Labchara. It’s a beautiful family owned Riad that is located perfectly inside the Medina and serves a delicious maroccain breakfast everyday. The help and dedication of our host Mohammed exceeded expectations! He was so helpful and kind and made our time in Fez very special. We couldn’t have asked for more! Thanks a lot!

Location was ok. Mohammad was helpful and a nice person. But that’s about it

Altough cheap - I would say that the room was really humid, strange nasty smell coming from the toilet and also a moldy smell. We spent 2 nights here and we were happy when we left due to the things mentioned above. Would we come back? No. Did we enjoy it? No. Was it comfy? No. We paid around 30 eur per night so we cannot complain more, but still. It’s buget friendly, but totally not for everyone.

Mohammed was the best! Picked us up at the train station, gave us a 4 hr tour of the old medina, and treated us like family - a great experience.

Exceptional care of Mohamed. Honestly, the experience he brings deserves more than this price. He help you pay the good price for everything and avoid people asking you tourist money. Comfortable bed and clean sheets.

Let people know in advance that cars cannot get inside the Medina.

The Riad is wonderful, in a very central location in the hearth of the Medina. Every ambient is tastefully decorated, with cozy rooms and equipped bathrooms. What my group enjoyed the most was the company of Mohammed: the warmest and most caring host we’ve ever met, who made us feel at home straight away, taking care of all our necessities and taking every extra step to make sure our experience was wonderful. He ensured that we tasted the local delicacies, carefully choosing various breakfast options, arranging for the best local guide for our tour, advising us on the acceptable price range for souvenirs and services, helping us with reservations, taxi rides and more! Mohammed, it was really a gift meeting you! Chiara, Valentina, Leonora

    the traditional feeling, calm, relaxed

google maps say it's 4-star hotel. not really, never has been and unless mayor investments to refurbishment are made, it will never be. as there were basically no other guests and we didn't get keys to get into the property, the manager were rolling eyes even when we got out 8pm as he had to wake up early, which made us feel very inconvenient

Mohamed is very kind and obliging. And funny😊 The riad is beautiful. Room is ok, very traditional. Breakfast is good. Accommodation is well located within the Medina of Fes, in the heart of the city. Good restaurants around (Fnara, Dar Hammad, la Cave...) Everything is in walking distance. Mohamed will do his best to assist you!

The access to the riad is a narrow street, dark and bit dirty. At that time some renovation works were also in the way you have to be careful where you step. When you arrive to the Medina by taxi, you will have to walk with your suitcases through the souk for 5-10mn until you can reach the riad. Not super easy to find the first time. But it's also part of the fun! Besides that all is fine

The location was perfect, 200 meters or so into the Medina. We had easy access to explore the Medina and to get outside the Medina. The two rooms were spacious and ideal for our family. Communication was easy with the staff. Muhammad was great, he met us at the train station, arranged luggage ferry service for us, helped us set up a Moroccan cooking class and a Hammam, connected us with specific vendors in the Medina for various wares, made great suggestions for places to eat that were not touristy, arranged travel for us to Chefchoauen, took us to the tile factory, and gave us a quick tour to orient ourselves when we arrived. The breakfast each morning was delicious and one morning Muhammad got us soup.

No negative comments, we treasured our stay at Dar Labchara.

    Great location and helpful staff

Unfortunately we had the ground floor room which has no outside windows and was very cold. The floor was wet and generated an uneasy smell.
