Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

GermanyThat we only stayed one night 😏
Just AMAZING - best place we stayed at in 2 weeks travelling through Marocco… Like all the other travelers said - wish we would have stayed more than one night. Absolutely spotless, and on point with all the details but the from, but also the outdoor spaces. Lights and hocks in all the right places 🤩🩷🤩 Beautiful decoration, spacious room, spotless, nice smells, super quiet. Best sleep on the entire trip. Also walkable to the Medina, which was such an unexpected cool surprise, busy like Marrakech, but without the Tourist touch. Massive thank you also to Pierre, for the recommendation with regards to the Carpet Cooperative in Talouste - I think we made a good deal and are exited how this massive carpet will look and feel back home. THANK YOU

SpainNothing but when you are there a small note in the bathroom is very delicately remembering you that you are in a desert area where water is extremely scarce. Please take care when having a shower/ using the bathroom.
Pierre is a very professional host looking for your comfort. His Riad is a gem, a heaven of peace and good taste. With very beautiful and comfy rooms, great cuisine and a nice pool where to relax surrounded by trees, flowers and plants. Prices are very moderate for this great attention. This is small scale sustainable tourism.

Our suite was lovely and very confortable. The swimming pool area is very nice and very welcoming. The owner did not hesitate to give us some good advice to discover the area

FranceDar Sofar was by far our favourite place we stayed during our trip to Morocco. Agdz was just a stop on the map with the goal of relaxing, and that’s exactly what we did. Our room was huge and beautifully decorated. The attention to detail throughout the place is amazing, with a calm and spacious feel in every corner. The garden and pool area are incredibly peaceful, with plenty of quiet spots so every guest can find their own space to relax in peace. The staff were so attentive and made us feel really looked after. We did a lovely walk around the palmeraie which was beautiful. Dinner was absolutely delicious, so we highly recommend eating here. We were so delighted to find this place and highly recommend it.

United KingdomA beautiful Guest House.. our hosts were charming, interesting, and engaging, and the staff we met were both friendly and efficient. Our room was clean and well appointed and had an simple authenticity and feel which gave us a timeless sense of Morocco, it was accessed externally, and was set in beautiful gardens, with secure parking for our motorbike. Our evening meal was superb and our breakfast was extensive and of equally high quality. We are grateful to have been able to ride through Morocco meeting so many kind and friendly people and our overnight at Dar Sofar contributed to our experience. We would happily return and recommend.

NetherlandsAll was wonderful!
An absolutely wonderful stay perfectly located halfway our trip from Marrakesh to M'Hamid El Ghizlane. Great for anyone looking for something off the beaten track and, quite literally, a calm oasis. This was most definitely the most beautiful place we stayed at during our trip. Delicious food, served in the beautiful courtyard, fantastic and eco-conscious hospitality, and a refreshing swimming pool. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and walk through the palmeraie. Highly recommend!

Very nice pool and garden area with plenty of seating to relax and very peaceful. Rooms were very comfortable and tastefully decorated. Breakfast was good and owner and staff were very friendly and accommodating. They even let my husband put his moth trap on in the garden at night which was greatly appreciated by him and he was really interested to see all the amazing species living here.

Dar Sofar is like an Oasis - we stopped here spontaneously and stayed only one night, but we could have easily stayed longer. Beautiful outside area with a pool and lush green plants. The room had everything we needed. Pierre, the host, was very friendly and helpful and shared some interesting stories and information about the area with us. We can 100% recommend and would stay at Dar Sofar again next time.

United KingdomAfter a long hot journey from Marrakesh we had a warm welcome from Pierre. We had a lovely swim (swimming towels provided). A good nights sleep in the quiet location. After a delicious breakfast we had a lovely walk in the Palmerie, a must if you have time. A couple of days before we arrived Pierre contacted us to see whether we wanted to arrange dinner. We decided not to but wished we had. We ate at the local restaurant in town which was pleasant as we watched the Friday evening activities. A great stop over on the way to the desert. Would highly recommend.
